...but to do that you would have to ban the worst aspects of capitalism. The discrimination these "low caste" people are facing sounds identical to what poor and the middle class suffer from the rich. If you deal with upper management, if your not from a prestigious college or a member of an exclusive country club, you will have to deal with comments like "white trash", "trailer trash", "hillbilly", etc. Now, in India the unfortunate assumption made against "low caste" individuals is that they are underqualified individuals who only got into a great college due to reservations. So basically, it is the 95% that give the remaining 5% bad name.

@thelegendaryblackbeastofar39 Жыл бұрын
I doubt it! The "Black Community", like any other other community, is full a people with a healthy dose of cynicism and common sense. It was probably not your intention but your comment can be viewed as quite offensive... the idea that all "blacks" think alike!!! Black folk are individuals like anyone else!!! Now I DO get that those that society has imposed the label of being "Black" face many negative consequences: from getting house loans to mistreatment from law-enforcement. I must mention that the noticeable exception are for those that lack a conscience and choose to work for "white" supremacists, those such as Candice Owens, Clarence Thomas etc. In their special case, being "black" opens up huge economic opportunities. Conservatives claim to hate affirmative-action but are huge fans when it comes to hiring "black" people to speak on their behalf! All that being said it is a reasonable assumption that "Blacks" are more likely to be sympathetic to people who face similar forms of oppression. As far as the "Dalit" community in the US... I think they'll see little sympathy for a person from India who was wealthy enough to come to the US and has a great job at a company like Cisco and is complaining of having to deal with (alleged) comments or (allegedly - the courts threw out the case as being frivolous) being turned down from a promotion and instead being stuck with a $150k job!! I'd say they'll get as little sympathy as from a kid crying that his parents bought him a Mercedes rather than a Ferrari! Side note: The term "black" is purely an artificial label created not so long ago by the Spaniards to justify slavery. It has no basis in anthropology or genetics. In fact the people labeled as "black" constitute "95%" of the human genetic diversity not to mention the fact that all humans ultimately can trace their ancestry back to Africa. Some interesting history: The first "slave rebellion" to happen on (what would become) US soil was lead by a group of "white" and "black" indentured laborers. They fought and risked their lives side-by-side for freedom. Rich Southerners became terrified of the might of the oppressed majority and skillfully countered it with the age-old strategy of "divide and rule". Hence was sold the construct of "whites" vs "blacks" in the US. In recent years it has been mastered by Republicans ("Dog Whistle Politics") into tricking poor "white folk" into voting against their own economic interests -- phenomena coined as "Dying of Whiteness"!!!

That is like saying the US needs a resolution to help the kids of the rich have even more opportunities to set up enterprises and live the dream. Oh wait!!! Their parents already rigged the Us economic system to do precisely that! If you are an Indian who came to the US you are 99.9% likely to have come from the top of economic ladder. The bottom 50% of the US population sees little sympathy for people (Dalits included) who work at Cisco and are complaining of being denied a promotion and being stuck with a $150k/yr job while their kids go to college. Even Thenmozhi Soundarajan, the one who published the discredited research paper under her sham company - Equality labs yet has become a rallying cry for Evangelical Christians, got to go to college and had the economic luxury of pursuing a (failed) music career. The bottom 50% experience economic hardship Thenmozhi never had to face!!! The only reason the "Anti-Caste" bill is even being discussed to due to the growing resentment of the economic success of the Indian community. Plus Evangelical christian organisations see a rising Indian community as a potential threat to their economic and political power.

In keeping with the Uttar Pradesh government's tradition of allotment of a place of residence to all former chief ministers, the bungalow was allotted to Mayawati during her first stint. After witnessing several major renovations during her two successive tenures, the bungalow at Lucknow's most posh Mall Avenue was eventually pulled down during the current stint when she also chose to acquire an adjoining government office building and have a sprawling 100,000 sq ft plot for erecting a grand new chateau type residence for her post-chief ministerial days.
