@@37Raffaella The point being, suppose entire regions of Spain started having their language and culture erased. Wouldn't Spanish people be just a wee bit upset? That's currently happening in the American Southwest with Hispanics (mostly Mexican), and other large sections of the US. If you've been out of the country 27 years you may not be aware of just how bad things have gotten. Imagine going to, say, Valencia, and the vast majority of people in that region spoke English, just looked at you funny if you did speak Spanish, there was a Walmart in every town, a Starbucks on every corner, everyone drove pickups and SUVs and soccer fields were all replaced by gridirons and baseball diamonds. Or whatever American stereotypes people think of. Wouldn't that seem like a shame? That's what's happening in huge portions of American right now. We're not talking a few ex-pats like yourself. It's tens of millions. Many tens of millions. Nobody really knows the true numbers.
