can you tell me what he has said exactly shading bts? I only know of him saying that his image in the usa is awkward because westerners associate him with kpop and disregard him because they think he'll sound like bts but he doesn't want to be associated with kpop anymore. And i think he said that thing about kpop not being truly authentic and bts twitter stans came for him even though he mentioned how historical and inspiring bts are.

To Efra, it's indeed right that many underground rappers considered them sellouts after debuting in a pop group, but before that, namjoon & suga were actually very well known in the underground rap scene! There is this very old forum where underground rappers came to discuss other rappers etc and army found old posts about namjoon (then it was Runch Randa). these posts were written by grown up rappers who were actually scared to go against the then 13/14y old namjoon!! Its stupid that some of these rappers think suga & nj are less now bc they are part of a pop group (since its clear that Both are insanely talented rappers), but that's the way of thinking with many in the underground rap scene i guess.

They have plenty “proper diss tracks” where they curse and read their haters for filth and all that but after “Mic Drop” BTS said they won’t make a song addressing haters anymore bc there’s no point. They’re eons above all their haters now. That’s why we all lost our minds when they dropped DDAENG (after saying they wouldn’t make diss tracks anymore) and it’s also why, DDAENG is written the way it is. It’s meant to flex instead of addressing their haters directly.

bts and epik high are actually besties, they’re really really close with each other. They write music nd stuff together too (yoongi was also a produced in one of their songs). BTS blew up in America in 2017, but 2018 is when they first topped a Billboard chart by getting #1 on the Hot 200 with “Love Yourself: Tear” After that they just had to drop a rap line track flexing on their haters heads bc now BTS was quiet literally in a league of their own, doing things no one thought a kpop group could do

4:30 BTS was never well received in the underground krap community popular or not cause the rap line were considered "sell outs" the moment they signed up to be "idol rappers". The underground krap community makes a point to separate their rap: the real rap from rap produced by idols because they assume it's fake. So since their debut the rap line was seen as sell outs from the underground Korean hip-hop artists. So yeah BTS clap back to those who publicly trash talked them and to the haters in general who called them ugly, not good enough, untalented and so on

Efra is on the right track. The first few years Rapline were addressing those that looked down on them, especially Suga and RM , for becoming Idols instead of staying true to Hip Hop. By the time of Ddang they were already having mainstream Hip Hop artist such as Epik High, Tiger JK, and Seo Taiji and Boys giving them respect. It kind of changed the game for BTS in terms of respect at that point.

The underground rap scene turned on RM and Suga as soon as they got into BTS. They considered them sell-outs and not real rappers anymore because of their prejudice against idol rappers. While it's true that most idol rappers don't write their raps, it makes no sense to pretend that rappers who were known to be great suddenly lost their abilities. It was really small-minded of them. Like Efra said however, many big figures in k-hip-hop like Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae and Tablo acknowledged their talent and immense abilities when they started gaining fame.. And they've become really vocal supporters and admirers. It's really sweet. Jessi has also spoken very highly of them. Jay Park on the other hand seems to be looking to goad ARMY with his constant condescending remarks, so we can count him out.

I’m not really sure how jay park feels about bts currently, but I know in the past he has been shady towards them. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that he doesn’t really want to be associated with kpop. Tbh Jay park is extremely problematic, which is unfortunate because he is very talented. But he repeatedly does things that are culturally insensitive and gives half assed apologies after receiving backlash. He doesn’t own up to his mistakes and he doesn’t seem to care if his fans get hurt by his actions. I really enjoyed this reaction. I hope you guys can watch more of dkdktv’s video’s explaining bts lyrics. These videos really allow you to appreciate their songs even more.

idk where you got the impression that "everyone loves them now" bts still get the same amount of hate they used to get as rookies. ALL kpop fandoms hate bts except for armys obviously and now they get hate from the general public around the world as well as western fandoms like ariana stans, taylor swift stans, billie stans etc just two weeks ago they were getting attacked by xxx tentacion stans for surpassing his record on soundcloud and every day we get hate from blinks, exo-ls, nct stans etc etc also if you think all idols love bts too thats also not the case armys have ideas who but bts never came out and said names but many multi stans like to act like all their groups love bts but bts did say many idols looked down on them and many ex idols came out and said idols looked down on bts so do with that info what you will. a hug/hello doesnt = besties. its always been bts and army vs everyone else and we have the media downplaying their success daily and radio still doesnt give them fair plays and theres always a think piece about how and why bts achieved success but if a white english speaking artist achieved the same things they would be praised with no questions and labeled as a legend. also fuck jay park idk how you guys even think he likes bts hes just as much trash as b free who also reappeared recently trying to start shit with armys. react to bts hardships 2013-2021 by xceleste the only difference about bts is theyre way more successful but theyre still the same people they were and people are still obsessed with hating them as they were then. like the other comments said the only people from the k hip hop scene who like bts is tiger jk from mfbty and epik high

The khiphop scene is not very supportive of idol rappers. They often think that they are not ”real” rappers. It is true in most cases depending on what your definition of a rapper is. A lot of kpop idols who have the rapper position have not been trained correctly to it and simply aren’t that good at rapping. And most of them don’t write their own lyrics either which is a huge part of being a rapper. But this has been chaching a lot and the rapping in kpop has bacome so much better. A start for this change was bigbang top being the first ever underground rapper turned kpop idol and gd. They wrote their own raps and are usually well respected by the khiphop scene nowdays. Other rappers such as bobby from ikon (he won show me the money, a korean hiphop/rao ahow that also looks down upon idol rappers) and him writing his raps too. Also bts rap line, stray kids rap line, monsta x etc write their own raps and have amazing rapper skill so the rapping scene in kpop has chaged a lot. Also there are many other amazing rappers who write their own raps those were just a few examples.

BTS and Epik High are actually really close (since bts debut days) they support each other. RM and Suga always said that Epik High one of their role models in hiphop, RM even said he started rapping in 2007 because of Epik High's song "Fly". Also Tiger Jk, YoonMirae, Zico is close with them and support them. Zico and RM are middle school friends and started rapping around same times on underground. RM and Tiger Jk has some good collabs like Buckubucku (with some other rappers), Timeless etc. and they support each other when they release a new song or at award shows (like RM has a meme when he is shouting to Tiger Jk's performance the cameraman caught him in 2018 MAMA 😂 you've probably seen it in award show compilation videos) Just 2 days ago RM posted a screenshot of him listening to Epik High's new song on twitter and Tablo replied it twitter.com/blobyblo/status/1410089490660483072?s=19 twitter.com/blobyblo/status/1410378740631171072?s=19 (we think the numbers mean twitter.com/trivianity/status/1410382359531241474?s=19 or twitter.com/namjooneando/status/1410382961128656898?s=19) . Tablo sometimes mentions them like when Namjoon said "after this pandemic shit..." at online concert, Tablo tweeted twitter.com/blobyblo/status/1404058319606542338?s=19 . Also Suga produced a song for them a few years ago and Tablo tweeted this a week ago twitter.com/blobyblo/status/1407935164513095683?s=19 . Recently (in May) in Rolling Stone interview (which i really recommend you to read, members individually answered questions) they shout out to epik high again twitter.com/blackswhalien52/status/1392854550009290752?s=19
