You can do it! The first few months are the hardest. It takes time and patience. If you get to a point where you think it's too much, try a protective style or mini braids to give yourself a break. Keep pushing (LOVE)

Your hair looks wonderful and beautiful natural!! Those feeble minded fools that made cruel comments are not educated and are obviously in insecure themselves as they do not possess the versatility and beauty of our hair!! I respect you for taking the step to be proud of what God created...I have also done so for 2 years!! Thank you and may you stay blessed xx

I just cried like a baby!!! I've hurt over my hair for most of my life. But today I was inspired by you. My hair started falling out, possibly hormones balancing out now that my son is 2 or being a single mom in my 1st year in PhD program, alone in a new city. I cut my hair into a mohawk, shaved all sides off. I have just a little hair on the top of my head. I have been obsessing over natural hair websites for 2 days now and right now I know that I am making the right decision. Pray for me!

Amazing, your passion and appreciation oozes and speaks volumes in this video!!! What an inspiration you are. I've been transitioning for 5 months and it all started because of my daughter. She has a curl pattern of 4a-4b and she hated wearing her hair curly because she always saw mine straight. I can't wait to continue to encourage my daughter with some of the things you've said in this video that also encouraged me!!! Thanking God for the hair that was GIFTED to me!!!!

Wow this video really inspired me. YOU HAVE BEAUTIFUL HAIR ! I'm about 20 months natural and I have to say it hasn't been easy in the least bit. I wear mostly buns and braidouts, and I do get some mean comments about how "big" my hair is. I still haven't big chopped but trimmed most of it off. Watching this video, I feel like what I've been doing is worth it. Thank you.

This is by far the best hair journey video I've ever seen!! My eyes were watery right along with you. I'm about 35 weeks post my last relaxer and I'm so anxious to see my hair after I take these senegalese out. I'm debating wether or not I want to BC on my 1 yr anniversary(July 27th). I sometimes 2nd guess myself in continuing this hair journey but you have inspired me sooo much. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've already joined the FB page.

Bless your heart. I recently went all natural on August 31,2013 and I love it. I have learned it take some preparation. You can't just get up the next morning and expect my hair to just fall in place. I have also learned to never experiment with a new hair products in the middle of the week. Saturdays are great for that. Lol. I really enjoyed your video. Your passionate for what the Lord has blessed us with, beautiful versatile hair, will motivate people to be grateful. Hi! I just now found your channel and I just wanted to say that I REALLY REALLY appreciate your videos especially your hair journey. I just transition from relaxers as of November 2022 and I did my big chop April of 2023 so a year and some change with my natural hair now . I didn’t know and still am learning how to accept my hair texture/type and I cried a lot when I missed my straight hair and managing just straight hair overall because I don’t know how to manage my natural hair. I’d hide my hair texture after I cut it all off and now it’s growing pretty decently. Watching your transition video really gave me the push to stay natural and trust the process and I just want to say thank you so much for making these videos even though it was 12 years ago and I’m just now finding it 🥹🥹🥹🩵🩵🩵🩵

I went natural after a trip to Africa in 97, saw 2 many ads for perms. I locked my hair and enjoyed it until 2000ish was going thru some things and decided to chop it. Everyone who knew me was mad, but I told them its just hair it will grow back. In 2010ish I decided I missed my locs so I locked again.( I didnt like how my locks were growing out). So about 6 mos ago I did a big chop again. Im not courageous enough to trim( going to a salon).U guys have been so helpful w products, styles & info.
