Yeah, we see that Cell is able to get Zenkais despite the fact he can regenerate from atoms and believed himself to be indestructible. The way I understood how Zenkais work is that the body simply needs to take damage and then recover, which immortal regeneration would do (I assume this is how Vegeta originally planned to use his immortality to kill Frieza considering he must have known Frieza was more powerful than him at the time he was planning his wishes). So it would definitely make sense especially since we see in Zamasu in Super that he can still be hurt, but recovers. Combining that with a Saiyan Zenkai is pretty unfair to most of the villains in Z (It's not till Buu or Beerus might come into play that anyone can do ANYTHING to really stop Vegeta unless they have the Mafuba or something).

You do a better job than most but one of my biggest gripes with people's "what if" scenarios is how they will sometimes go out of the way to try to stick to the original series of events. "Vegeta gets wished to the earth during the Freeza fight" and "everyone dies except Gohan and Vegeta because he's immortal against the androids" are two examples of this. You'll at least toy with alternatives but it reeks of timidness to change things too much.

Vegeta becoming immortal would give him great power. He would defeat Frieza after many zenkais, and then, to test him, he would pursue cold, he would kill him after many zenkais. After that he would have the throne of cold and Frieza. He would divide his soldiers by classes like the sayans, and rule over the universe.

I've been starting to wonder if it's even possible for Shenron or Porunga to grant such wish. Just think about their limitations. Neither of them can bring back someone who died naturally. Wishing for immortality pretty much contradicts that. Besides, the only villain who could obtain immortality canonically was Zamasu and it was while using the strongest possible Dragon Balls.

Interesting to think about, but I think the part where vegeta being wished back to the earth doesn't make sense unless goku really is a jerk. You said it yourself that both goku and vegeta in your scenario would team up against frieza so it wouldn't make sense for vegeta to be teleported to earth when he could stick around in the fight because he cannot be killed. He would also tell goku when goku is speaking about the wish that he also wants to stay on namek to which goku will respect and has no reason to say no since vegeta cannot be killed. One key difference to vegeta being on namek when everyone is wished to be teleported to earth except vegeta and goku is that goku might not go to yardrat and catch the heart virus or learn the instant transmission. It still could play out that way, but considering vegeta is there, goku could go off to look for a space ship and have more time to set the coordinates for earth instead of yardrat. The only reason goku landed on yardrat at least in the anime was because he had no time to plot a course for earth so he just put some random course and got yardrat but considering vegeta could take over and hold frieza off to give goku time, he would get more time to escape, actually plot a course for earth, not go to yardrat, not getting the heartvirus and the instant transmission, not dying from the heart virus on earth. Even if vegeta is weaker than super saiyan goku at this point in time, he can still give him time similar to how he held off kid buu and bought goku time.

I think if Vegeta wished for immortality, he would've continued down his path of darkness. He would've never pleaded with Goku to defeat Frieza, which was a major turning point for his character. I also don't think he would care about defeating Goku since he would definitely be capable at that point with immortality.

I think Freeza would of used him as a pet or toy before leaving him alone on the planet for all of eternity as Vegeta was no where near Freeza's full power when the dragon balls were available to be used. More than likely, after Frieza was defeated he'd begin rebuilding his kingdom. Immortal and invulnerable are 2 different things. If a planet is destroyed and Vegeta would be adrift in space his lungs would have no oxygen for his brain so, he technically be useless until he randomly drifts into an oxygen rich planet. Frizza can just throw him into a sun/star and keep his body in a constant state of destruction/regeneration. Also seeing how dumb Vegeta was letting Cell become perfect Cell there is a chance of him being absorbed by Cell or Majin Buu since absorb doesn't mean killed. It's becoming one with. I think the real question is this: CAN the dragons (Shenron and Porunga) grant the wish of immortality in the first place? We know that there are limits to their power, e.g. they can't just wish that the powerful villain would die, and in the one instance someone successfully wished for immortality, i e. Zamasu, he used the super dragon balls that don't have limit to their power (I don't count Garlic jr because most fans don't count him as canon), indicating that complete immortality is an extraordinary wish that requires more power than the simple dragon balls have. Another thing that suggests dragon balls can't grant immortality is the fact that King Piccolo didn't wish for it. Piccolo would definitely know the limitations of the dragon balls, so he wouldn't bother wishing for something he knew the dragon couldn't do, so he wished for eternal youth instead. It's not 100% proof but I do think it supports my theory

I understood that you think that Vegeta would be floating on space forever and continued for the sake of the video, but I disagree, you forgot that immortal characters like Garlic Jr exists, Majin Boo for example is immortal and died. So if Vegeta got immortality on Namek, Freeza would have vaporization him since he can do so, or if he got immortal on Earth he would die in the same way because Freeza was listening anyways, not to mention that Ginyu would change bodies with him for sure, since Freeza already know that Vegeta is immortal and Ginyu is 200% loyal to Freeza. Also, Vegeta only got a change of heart because he died on Namek and formed a little bound with Goku before die, so he only would want revenge on Goku and probably won't will date Bulma, without Trunks we know what will happen in the future but probably Vegeta won't will be around the Earth because I think that he would want to conquer the universe since Goku wouldn't will be alive due his disease and Vegeta proved before that he don't hold a grudge against weaklings (he could had kill Gohan on Namek but got satisfied by just punch him). Hit simply time-skips and with one blow, kills the frieza force soldier. The Grunts turn from reasoning, to fear. "t-there's no need to k-kill us or anything, right?" Hit doesn't care, that one grunt made the frieza force hostile. *timeskip* one grunt falls. then two. then four. then every single grunt falls down. Lifeless. Frieza finally arrives. "Ho-ho-ho, you truly are a fiesty one. You're one for deals, correct? Here's the deal. Join me or die." Hit tries to use his time skip, but it's futile. Hit fully grasps the situation... and kneels before frieza. Frieza - "Ah, I've see you've made your choice. From now on, call me *Lord* Frieza." From then on, Hit became Frieza's Assassin. If there was someone who outlived their usefulness, hit would come in, and end their life. That's my take on it.

The way I'd put it is that after he got the perfect form his cells made a "save state" of it When he blew himself up after losing 18 he pretty much reseted himself, making him go back to his perfect form plus getting a massive zenkai boost after the explosion So even with 17 wished back it makes sense that in the afterlife he would still keep his perfect form as that "save state" still exists within him

You're right too a degree. I believe a saiyan would still get a zenkai boost because it's their biology but it would be so insignificant it would be basically pointless. Though immortality would definitely make training easier for sure. So it's a double edged sword

@@alexandru5369 See, I'd think the greater the injury, the greater the zenkai. Even if Vegeta's zenkais were, say, cut down by tenfold, that'd still be an average of a 2.5% boost. And over time, that snowballs. Hell, just imagine being frieza, death beaming the shite out of Vegeta, and then all the sudden your death beams do nothing. You transform, and they resume piercing him, but only for a bit, and eventually, he gets so many zenkais your overwhelmed.

If he wanted too, he could Fire a bunch of blasts at different distances so they arrive at different times, and intentionally lets his guard down. Let's say he fires 50 blasts. For each blast, he gets a "near-death" injury, regenerates, and let's say he gets a 1% increase. That's a 64% increase in power from that one thing alone. And mind you he could probably do this in like a minute. So if he dedicates a day... uh... the results are kinda broken to say the least.... like... he'd make the angels look like weaklings kind of broken....

Vegeta would receive multiple zenkais from his immortality and absolutely face roll Frieza in his base form. Turning super Saiyan may be a lot harder for him as it responds to sheer anger and need which as an immortal Vegeta would not have.

They all know if goku were to die from the heart virus then they wouldn't be able to bring him back. So two thoughts here, why wouldn't they have vegeta galick gun his ass to Otherworld and then use the Namekian dragonballs to bring back a healthy Goku? From my understanding the earths balls if you were to bring Goku back after killing him while having the virus then he'd still be sick and die again anyway, but we don't know for sure about the Namekian balls if they could bring him back minus the heart virus... or, and this is the better way to fix that whole issue, have Bulma take a lot of his blood to have extra to work with and then have vegeta 86 him, have Bulma work on a vaccine and once it's ready bring him back with either set of balls and then give him the heart meds... then BAM Goku's back baby. I mean, As long as something takes him out before the virus does the job (we all know at that point Vegeta wouldn't mind volunteering to "help" Goku get to Otherworld before the virus does) and once they have a vaccine for when he comes back, he'd be good, right? I never understood that issue and everyone thinking there was nothing they could of done to save him because there was, you just gotta kill him 😆

I don't think so for two reasons 1. Being immortal doesn't mean having no needs for your bodily functions, for example air. I rather guess Vegeta would suffocate constantly but without dying as he can't die. Every few seconds his heart would stop beating but it would start beating every single time as it's not possible for his heart to actually stop. 2. You can't actively fly through space as it is a vacuum. (Well, maybe you can in DB, but it wouldn't make any sense.) Mathematically speaking he will float to some planet/star eventually (hope for him it's a planet), at least by gravitational force, but that would take him thousands of years. He might be able to push himself to another planet by using energy blasts aiming at the opposite direction as he can't actively fly through space. Considering how vast the universe is even this should take decades, and he doesn't even know if that's a planet with air to breathe - let alone that he doesn't know which planet is the closest as he's only able to see tiny stars like we do on Earth, so he is literally pushing himself to a random flickering point in the sky without even knowing if that star is close or if it has a planet. Long story short, if real physics apply to the DB universe as well, Frieza's best way to manage an immortal Vegeta is to simply blow off Planet Namek... (And even if Vegeta COULD fly through space, he would need years to reach his destination as he can't teleport and has no spaceship-and probably doesn't even know where his destination actually is, let's imagine he wants to fly to Earth flying off from Namek but he wouldn't know in which direction actually to go.)

@MajinCookies Two weeks to find a planet away from Namek? Where's that in the manga? Vegeta has never been shown having that much speed/strength, even in current DBS. So to say Namek saga Vegeta is that fast is crazy. He wouldn't be touched by freeza in the first place. Goku got lucky with Yardrat since the ginyu ship had the coordinates already set in to go there and being a day faster than Brief's ship and 20 times faster than Bulma's. So far the only character we've seen in canon flying at absurd levels of speed through space is Gas whereas Kid Buu just instant transmit from planet to planet.

That's because as the Universal Anthem says "space is vast." Vegeta can fly as fast as he wants, but it would still take him many years to reach a civilized world even at MFTL speeds. And unless he knows exactly where he's going, he'll be flying around a lot longer than that just trying to find a world with life on it. And unless that world has space travel on par with what he's used to, he's not getting back anywhere relevant for a very long time to come.

I'd actually be more surprised that Vegeta doesn't just freeze solid and be unable to do anything. He won't die, but the coldness of space probably would incapacitate him. Even if it doesn't, him not being able to breathe would hinder his judgement pretty heavily since he would be in a constant state of asphyxiation. Zenkais don't only apply to near-death. It's any damage that occurs and is recovered from, as well as the force that they train under. Near-death just expedites the process. Though there is still the question of whether or not the magically-induced regeneration will affect it, since it may be removing the saiyan's body's need to adapt, because it's not healing on its own.

Vegeta is smart. He would let gohan and krillin take the first 2 wishes so they could not wish away his immortality. After using the third wish for immortality they would not be able to stop him or have enough time to find the dragons balls again. Vegeta would conquer frieza and command his army starting a new legion and spreading the Saiyan genes and reviving his race to and above their former glory. But Goku would find a plot device and win anyway cause Goku has plot armor and death dont matter in DBZ.

It doesn't help that vegeta took on a weird personality change after namek. He was irritated that goku surpassed him when he came to namek...but begged goku to finish frieza...then hated goku for finishing frieza in the buu arc. Right now in the super manga vegeta may have a lot of further development so we shall see where this goes. I won't spoil it for anyone who doesn't read the manga but stay tuned.

Smart answer would be for them to wish Piccolo back to life, followed by wishing Goku or Piccolo were immortal. Immortal Piccolo means they have infinite wishes. Immortal Goku would be able to keep Vegeta in check.
