For example, the LIVE samples we see on platforms like Envato or Themeforest, I'm assuming each of these sites has their own domain?

Great question, Michael, the situation depends on how you want to operate your business. Personally, I never buy domains for the client, ever. But, some people like to provide hosting services for their clients and charging a monthly service for it.
