You need to update the firmware on your launchpad. Go to this website customer.novationmusic.com/en/my-hardware and just log in and in drivers you will have NOVATION USB DRIVER, the newest now is 2.17.10. If you will still haven't getting purple button write here.

THIS solved almost every of my problems w/ my MK3 mini. everything works except after successfully maping all the stuff my lights still doesnt show up. i mean yeah, the orange basic one yes but after maping, no lights. And other more major problem is that when i push certain butons, ableton will start changing things. i go from lights to samples, even if i am in legacy mode with latest firmware and stuff. And for some reason there is more options that if they are choose, they do things that they not supposed to do.
