@@FollowingKeenan I only use top loaders if I have less than 10 lbs. I'll mostly use the hard mount front loaders.

I dread hearing the problems my friend & his sister will have we when they fully renovate their new Acquisitions. We in desperate need for Tradies (what you call contractors) as most trades are 4 year including studies. I rallied some almost qualified tradies over the Xmas break to commence some of the demo / rehab work but like all industries - Supply & Demand is the key issue. I am certainly not trained but I noted in 2 of the laundromats - cheap soft wood was used for the risers so this will all be rotten when removed. Thankfully the owner listened to me & obtained all measurements in advance, so drew up basic plans that allowed a plumber to quote on materials.

I have 8 of those Horizon washers. I agree, they are a complete pain in the butt. From operation to cleaning. Where are you located by the way?

Well at least the one thing in the laundromat dirty goes in and clean supposed to go out in your case I guess the dirties going out being your old machines I do residential customisation and commercial outfits but never done a laundromat yet just about everything else so keep up the good work keep fighting the fight people stay clean

Watching to see if the old-fangled top-loader plumbing gets ripped out and what is the modern optimal way to pipe it up. Have similar old-fangled at my place, it's got a few issues, been shopping PVC to replace sections of it, not a plumber but playing one at the laundromat.

Me too! Ive had 6 ideas so far. Funny thing is both my Dad and Grandfather were plumbers. I never knew cast iron pipe had flanges

How long from when you ordered to when you received the new machines?

I just ordered 3 40lb and 2 60lb washer. Right now 2 to 3 weeks. Speed Queen is really back to normal. I asked that question to my dealer just the other day. Some dealers actually have running stock. Likes these 20lb im getting he already had.

I see and notice you complaining about the top loader's speed Queen what about the other machines from speed Queen are they reliable and if so do you have any distribution information from them

Yes they are good brand. I do like speed queen top loaders. Other brands no. Dealers for laundromat equipment have territories. So you have to use dealer locator on speed queen web site.
