Thank you for this visit from both of you! ❤️ Happy Christmas to you and yours! I can appreciate the difference in experience when going from one climate to another. I grew up in the southern US where it may have snowed a handful of times in my life and never on Christmas. When I was in my teens we visited my grandparents at Christmas - and yes! It snowed - so magical! BTW, I enjoy looking for Christmas recipes that originate in Australia because the celebration is during summer with tropical fruits and very different flavors from foods we traditionally eat in the Northern hemisphere.

'Out here' we have so much STUFF! I really like the idea of giving something that will be enjoyed, but won't add to STUFF! Y'all are such an example. Living lean can mean living generous.

It’s Christmas Day Evening here in the Uk and what a lovely surprise your video is - I do miss your more regular uploads! Ankela is an amazing lady - she really exudes ‘Meaningfullness’ in its purest form of Care and Love… So interesting to reflect on the ‘swaddling clothes’ issue - thank you! I have visited Beechgrove Community twice and loved it both times and still in contact with my hosts Ruthie and Willym and I continue zoom meetings with jesse and lenore Barton and our group. Bruderhof community are special people, kind, generous and giving. I wish I had known about this community years ago, I would have joined. Latter Autumn years of my life I remain in contact. I ask God where do you want me to go. God has answered and given me a direction. A community in kent not far from Bruderhof community. The pilsdon Malling community where I can use my social worker qualifications with people recovering from mental health issues and former prisoners. I feel excited by this opportunity to volunteer and live with them. I will continue to remain in contact with the loveliest people at Bruderhof and God leads me. God has changed my life and I feel full of joy.

I was wondering too. It was because they were pacifists, it seems. 'In 1940, confronted with the option of either having all of its German members interned for the duration and its English members conscripted, or leaving England as a group, the Bruderhof chose the latter and some began to look for refuge abroad...' 'In 1941, the Bruderhof emigrated from England to Paraguay - at the time the only country that would accept a pacifist community of mixed nationalities. This move was assisted and facilitated by the Mennonite Central Committee...' Wikipedia

I was starting to get sick yesterday. Much worse today. I went to my sister's yesterday. Nice to see my nephews. The younger one just wanted to go to bed.
