So awesome! The Shorty George in the swing out is super-curvy! :D

This video is SO GOOD! Having concrete examples like this is very helpful. I often have trouble creatively implementing vernacular moves.

Well, to be honest I AM here from a Solo Jazz dancing perspective with no partner dancing / lindy hop experience whatsoever (unfortunately)! Nevertheless, your insight, instructions and inspiration are so helpful! I also think that these "two" approaches (partner / single) are not two approaches at all since they base on the same rhythms and general mood and feel of the music. Thank you so much for your great, valuable and entertaining content and best wishes from Vienna, Austria!

I think you're totally right! It's the same dance, same music, same rhythms. And, of you do Judi one, I think you can better do the solo component of this dance without the partnered part than the reverse.

Outstanding I really like the added jazz moves. I never was one to memorize many of the back to back moves like the entire shim sham but I like being able to add a few of the jazz moves to my jitterbug and Lindy. Sign me up.

All your videos are so helpful. This is a random one, but can you do a tutorial on the "snappy turn"? (It was in your routine from ILHC.)

Hmm... there are so many snappy turns. Could you show me a link?

Hi Laura a question if you'd like to answer does suzie Q open on even or odd count? Brook seems to start with the feet close on 8 and opens on odd count. However Frankie manning in the lindy chorus seems to open at 8 and close the feet on odd counts (although he does a texas tommy before ). I am asking because normally i do as Brook does but I was teaching the lindy chorus and my partner pointed out correctly that Frankie does the other way around. Is it a move that can be done either way? Thanks

Can you please make videos on how to do the Shim Sham, Big Apple, Trankey Doo, and Stops 🙏
@LauraGlaess3 жыл бұрын
You're in luck! Already did the Shim Sham, and the others are on the list. Next line dance out is a version of the Trickeration.
