while san diego has a lot of beautiful areas, there are also A LOT of sketchy areas so you really have to do your research on where you’re staying, especially when staying at an airbnb because the hosts will never admit that their airbnb is in a warzone 😭

Could agree! People might be hiding in there or trying to get out of the heat by lifting open someone’s garage. If someone was out there alone or with children you don’t know what that person could do. Leaving that review was in fact necessary cause they felt the need to MOVE houses ! Dramatic or NOT it is in fact their experience.

She literally looked at reviews and they were all solid. Further more homeless isn’t the issue it’s feeling unsafe homeless or not homeless it was something that made them all feel uncomfortable. All of you are looking for anything and everything too nit pick just bc their all influencers and had a negative experience. She already stated it wasn’t the hosts fault regardless unsafe is unsafe wether they had been homeless or some creep looking too commit a god awful crime doesn’t matter they clearly felt a certain way you were not there

I live in San Diego, so I’m so curious about which neighborhood this could be in. The only ones I can think of this possibly happening are in parts of Downtown or the nearby communities (like Barrio Logan). I’ve lived in the core of the City for 5 years and walk alone a lot (even at night!) but I’m also super observant, so I’m sorry this happened to you because it’s honestly not something I would have expected (someone with a weapon). I just think of only East Village being the place I hear of that happening. Glad you guys found somewhere else!! And your clips of La Jolla are sooo pretty. ✨
