I love caps and was going to get a MAGA cap during the lead-up to the 2016 election, but held back when I saw people on the news (not CNN or MSNBC, of course) actually getting physically attacked for wearing them. It's not normal or socially acceptable to wear anything or display anything on a vehicle or house with a political slogan in the UK except for a short period before an election / referendum and if a complaint is made the police can lawfully tell you to remove it. Laurence Fox was going against societal norms.
