The late Ricky Lawson (1954-2013), who played with Michael Jackson, Phil Collins, Steely Dan, Whitney Houston etc. Simon Phillips fell ill during the Night of the Proms and after Toto failed to get Gregg Bissonette (who previously played with them on the first leg of the 1995 Tambu tour when Phillips had back problems and who plays close like Jeff Porcaro) due to the latter being on a sold-out clinic tour, they turned to Ricky Lawson.

Phillips was ill on this tour and Ricky Lawson took his place. Gregg Bissonette was supposed to play for Toto on this tour after Simon called out sick but he was on a clinic tour. Oh and uh, Bissonette played for Toto in 1995
