Yes everything is about Clear and Correct thinking. I find that tools can often facilitate the work and often bring a general aesthetic and their own properties. A properly charged crystal continues to work even when you are not thinking about it. Tools are just that, if you do not need them all the more power to you. I like working with crystals and bringing in the magick of nature in everything I do.

@Bedazzlecat when we seal a spell in a bottle it is good almost forever, but carried in a bag or in the air there will be some natural degradation of anything natural (other than stones and crystals) over time. I think you will know when to replenish the philter.
