Absolutely! Gratitude is what got me through my late-stage 3 cancer in 2016. When in my recovery during my discovery phase, in my quest to understand what I did to myself to get so sick, I learned on YT from Dr. Joe Dispenza that there are about 1,200 chemicals in our body that are activated when in a state of gratitude to help heal and restore our body back to health. AMAZING!! That was a WOW moment for me that I'll never forget because throughout my ordeal in 2016, no matter how small, I was constantly thanking God for everything, from the pillow my head laid upon, to every family member, friend and health professional that helped me. I never once blamed God. I was eternally grateful to Him and prayed without ceasing. Gratitude and prayer are more powerful than anyone can ever imagine!

Your video reminds me of the story of the baby elephant who was chained to a small, old tree. It tried to pull and pull on the chain, but couldn't free itself. So it learned that struggle was pointless here. Eventually it grew up to a huge adult elephant, who could effortlessly uproot the small tree, but because it learned it couldn't, it never tried.

Perfect message for me, I'm 61. Had to deal with parents getting sick in 2018. I just lost my job. Unsure why it happened then. Then weeks later many challenges happened that gave me why. I had roof issues, both parents got sick. Found out Dad only had 5 years to live from bone disease. Mom needed heart operation. I became care giver. Help with appointments, medical, repairs, maintenance for 2 houses. Plus had to deal with legal and my own fatigue. They both passed very quickly Sept 2021. I'm still dealing with estate while looking for work. I'm ? Why employers are not calling me. I have also learned from the greats. I'm using mindset resources like Joe dispenza's work. I feel I'm in a waiting period. ? When will things shift. Yes, I can understand that the steps I took for years and focusing on main tasks, projects is preparing me for something big.

@JamesJones8552 I’m so sorry for all your losses and struggles. I read this and it resonated. I’m in a similar season and working my way out of it. I highly recommend reading Bob Proctor’s “You were born rich.” The Audible comes with a PDF handout that helps with understanding the subconscious programming we all have and working toward intentionally shifting our lives in a more prosperous fulfilling direction. Honestly, anything from Bob Proctor that resonates will help. I consume lots of self help and have for years, but something about his voice, his story, and his GENUINE desire to help others has helped me move out of the darkness. Wishing you the best! 💛

I'm not sure how this video popped up, but it's cool that it did. You described what I'm going through right now. I'm 40 years old and have been teaching myself to code over the past couple years. That gave me the ability to create some lucrative programs that autonomously trade the futures market. I have just recently started taking some certificate courses to get a deeper understanding of programming. It took quite a long time, but I finally got tired of the 9-5 as well.

I think about pre-existing beliefs and find that it isn’t about challenging beliefs but about thinking analytically what they mean, their origin, and which are facts that truly benefit our lives because they are truths. It isn’t about challenging for the sake of it, because we feel uncomfortable or because the masses adopt new unfounded ideologies, dropping older beliefs. It is about learning to unlearn bad habits that come from false beliefs, false teachings, and false ideologies. First time here and following! Thanks for the tips!

So true this video. I did the 9-5 many years because I came from a middle class family so I just assumed as a young man , this is my fate not giving it a second thought. Don’t follow the herd when you are young. Do a job you really enjoy . Once I retired I started listening to educational you tube videos and positive psychological short videos as well. The combo made me think differently and it worked. Ive always had an interest in investing since my mid 20’s I must add. After I retired I decided to do something to earn money for fun. It turned out to become a fun part time job”work” maybe 8 hours a week that I’m making more then my last year of 40 hour a week plus from the job I retired from. But in my case the 40 hour job and my dedication to invest every year helped to do my new hobby/job/fun. Love making money with a click of a button. God bless.

I started deeply looking into meditation as someone who struggles with a constantly wandering mind since early university days. Some days are easy but most days are incredibly hard to be present constantly, especially as a student. Meditation has genuinely helped me become a better person and more importantly actively try to be a mindful person. Days are not easy but its the littles steps consistently that count!

I am a 30 year old, who comes from a fairly successful family. 10 year ago, I moved from Suriname to the Netherlands, initially to pursue my studies. After that I found a well paying job as a low-code application developer (started off as a trainee, as I had a business background). I have done projects for really big organisations, which I am really proud of. However, A few months ago, I realised I was burned out and it really made me reflect on life and what I want. I’m not completely there yet, but I must admit that this is feeling like an amazing journey where I have found answers to questions that I never knew had that much impact on me as a human being. Thanks for this video, as I think that this really aligns with what I am looking for at the moment: Redesigning my life

Thank you for sharing your story. It sounds like you've had an impressive journey and have achieved a lot. Burnout can be a tough but valuable turning point, and it's great to hear you're finding clarity and direction. What are some of the key insights or changes you've discovered so far in your journey of reflection and redesigning your life?

Thank you for you reply, Laurie. I have accepted that sometimes it is fine to slow down and rest. You could compare our bodies to tires, if you keep on hitting the gas pedal, eventually your tire lose profile (grip). Furthermore, I came to the conclusion that even though I have been growing quickly over the years, I am always on high alert -always wanting to please people, prove that I am good enough. The conclusion is that although I seem confident, deep down I have a really low self worth. This actually stems from my youth. Always seeking that validation from my father who was a successful businessman, wanting to be like him. Lessons so far: 1. You are good enough as you are. Don’t go chasing after other’s their dreams. Find your own purpose (meditation really helps you in finding ‘yourself’) 2. Question, really question when you are feeling some type of way. Dig deep and you’ll gain clarity. Only when you know the underlying reason, will you be able to take real action. 3. Listen to your body, life is more than work. Learn to accept that it is fine to slow down sometimes

It's completely normal to find learning challenging and to feel like things take longer than you'd like. Everyone has their own pace and ways of processing information. Remember, persistence is key, and it's okay to take small steps. Celebrate your progress, no matter how small. This channel is all about guidance and tips on productivity and self improvement, I'm here to help in future videos. Keep going, and thank you for watching the video. 🙌

Your advice is inspirational - particularly regarding gaining new high income skills like digital marketing, coding, AI, etc. However, as someone from the industry I'd appreciate if you publish my note when I'd clarify especially for the younger audiences - learning from courses on tech skills alone won't be by far sufficient to launch a successful business, unless you have other leavers such as strong brand awareness you've worked years to build on. It all comes with experience. I'd recommend not only learning new skills but also getting into the industry by gaining an apprenticeship, attend events with successful e-commerce founders, network with those who've become who you want to be in years time. It's a roadmap, not an overnight shift to a new reality. Wishing all the very best in their journeys x
@lauriexwang4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing this thoughtful insight! I completely agree-while learning high-income skills like digital marketing, coding, or AI is a great start, there’s so much more to building a successful business. As you said, gaining real-world experience, networking, and gradually building a strong foundation are key elements that can't be overlooked. Your point about it being a journey and not an overnight shift is so important for people to hear 🙌

If anyone reads this.. what I find so difficult, is coming up with WHAT is most important to do? If you want to become healthy, happy and financially stable. I can't seem to find my "thing", what I want to do, so I never stick to anything cause I don't know specifically what I want to do.
@lauriexwang6 ай бұрын
Figuring out what’s most important can be tough. Try starting with small goals in each area to see what clicks for you. Experiment with different things, think about what genuinely makes you happy, and don’t be afraid to switch things up if something doesn’t feel right. It’s totally okay to take your time to find your "thing." Every step brings you closer to figuring it out. You're definitely not alone in this!

Thank you for sharing, Laurie! I find myself easily distracted by small tasks and tend to spend more time planning than actually taking action. It's very true that having an accountability partner helps tremendously, as does listening to productive and positive podcasts and journaling.
@lauriexwang8 ай бұрын
It's not easy to fight these distractions and I totally know what you mean. I'm working on this every day, but it's the awareness of this that really help me, to catch myself in those moments when I really should be deep working and getting things done.
