I'll be honest. My journey started Tuesday. I finally had enough. No smoking, no alcohol - cold turkey and working out daily for at least 30 minutes. And I picked up a couple books from my local library. Fingers crossed. Wish me luck.

Me too.:) Ever since I started going to the gym 2 times a week (7+ months now) and go to work in regular hours (9 to 5, instead of afternoon and night shifts) I feel so much better and confident. No more sleep problems, I don't feel tired when I wake up, don't have that much acne anymore, I became calmer, attended many new events, parties and made new friends...I should have started this years ago. I think that people who say that they are too tired to go to the gym after work, are actually tired because they don't go to the gym :P
@essennagerry7 жыл бұрын
klauseba After experiencing the effects of exercise for myself, I do suspect that people who say they're too tired to work out are too tired because they don't. Unless they have some really crazy and physically demanding schedule. :D Then I can see it, haha. But for me - I knew it wasn't normal to get tired so easily, even though it felt incredibly natural. I suspect a lot of people are in that situation.

Joe Kinsella your udnerstaning is understandable from the perspective you wrote.. I used to feel the same tbh but there is so much more than meets the eye and its only your choice how you percieve reality around you. You either are depressed because of your believe system (which doesnt need to be right, because ultimatelly what we "know" is really only what we believe we know) or you can enjoy life with mindset that allows you to live life beyond the realm of thinking where all this doubt and self-sabotage dwells. Just something to think about:)

I am so relieved to hear you say to pick only one habit to work on at a time because what I realized was, exactly what you mentioned, that I would get overwhelmed and relapse. The habit that I am choosing to build first is meditation. I feel that once I develop that into an automatic habit then it will eventually lead me to a path of lesser resistance toward the other two. I've been going strong this cycle for over a month. I've been exercising and eating well for the past few years, and reading for the past few months, so meditation would be my weakest link now. So I'm gonna focus in on meditation for this course -- and specifically dedicating 10 minutes every day to a sit down meditation, as recently I've just been copping out and only spending a minute or two each day to actively meditate (although I make it an intention to be mindful throughout my day).

Even though I'd like to adopt all three habit at once, I think I'll go for meditation. In my opinion, is the one that snowballs into the other two, so I'm pretty confident with my pick. Thank you for the free course!!

I've already had a taste of all of these in varying amounts and while I love all of them, I'm going to have to go with meditation. Out of ANY self care practice, I have NEVER found one that competes. Meditation is by far the most potent self care practice in terms of therapeutic healing that I've ever witnessed.

@@KimronGilbert So well that it still blows my mind. I consider meditation and exercise to be absolutely essential to living a full and happy life. It's truly indescribable just how effective they are. It's not like they are magic silver bullets for all problems, but I'd say they're close to the next best thing, lol. Having said that, I suppose that it's worth mentioning that I eat an exceptionally healthy diet compared to most, and I have eaten this way for many years now, so even though I consider it to be my baseline, I do recognize that my dietary choices have had an immense effect on my well-being as well.

I m doing fittness/diet from last 3 weeks(including nofap, cold shower, intermittent fasting, Ketosis and some light excercises) and was about to start reading again. I was also pondering to do meditation, but i think i will start it after reading 1 or 2 books. I m really greatful to u, as i was in mild depression for last 2 years, but luckily i found ur how to be happy video in my youtube suggestion, i dint know why this suggestion was there. But that video started me again to become the "happy go lucky boy" as i was before. I am hopeful n content now.

I don't have any idea that reading, meditation and fitness were keystone habit. Reading was already a habit of mine since I was young. Also I started to study anything about yoga. I started 3 or 4 years ago, though it was just a self-study, yoga is a part of my daily life since then. And right now, I am researching/studying about the meditation and end up finding this channel. I find it kind of weird it's like a coincidence. 🤔🤔🤔 Though, I'm glad to find this kind of video.
