It’s actually not bad to put a candle out by suffocating it! I wouldn’t suggest necessarily closing the seal all the way on the lid because it might create a pressure build up. But if you place your lid on your candle to the point where no air can get in, the flame is no longer exposed to oxygen (one of the 3 components needed for a flame). Take that info at your own risk 😆 but you should be fine 💕
