Listen....I am so grateful you put this together! His style around Deca time was great! Bay Area Pioneer! He was a monster at 7! Him and his brother were forces of nature. People tried to bury this truth. Like Lavar didn't rock it like this before alot of people. Right ! This brings back so many memories . I met CM when he came to NYC . He stayed over my place a couple nights when me Justin Peirce were sharing an apartment. It was a dope time we had everyone coming through . We partied and skated and partied more. I can see now the effect it was having 25 years later but when it was going down …you don’t see it. I mean almost all of us came from out of fractured family’s or single parent Homes and we all just like went to the same place. NYC Nobody was expecting to be like blown up . I mean maybe when SHUT skates was around some dudes got some flow. Harold Hunter ,Pete Bici ,Peter Hun, Lokey ,Justin ,Ivan Perez,Snacks ,Steve Calus , Ryan Hickey Jeff Pang ,Huff ,Keenan ,Rodney Torres , geno Estevez John Carter all those dudes s I know I’m missing some but all them dudes I got to skate with oh shit and Hamilton Harris , Jamal Simmons man I used to Go skate and wonder why these dudes weren’t put on in a big way. It just felt like you had nothing to loose and nothing mattered cause we all just loved to skate that much that it wasn’t important. Don’t get me wrong dudes were trying to get on ,going out to Cali I mean Sheffey rode for SHUT but only dudes like Huff and Keenan who stayed out there and who had enough talent and connections to make it. For me Cali was a dream and so far away it could have been a country. We had no means either me and Nuri and Frank were gonna go out there just drive ! Me and Nuri jump the subway I get errested … damn . Like things like that I went out but didn’t have enough momentum and cash to stay. Yo sorry for the rant man I just saw Curtis Name and tripped out because you really had to be into skating pretty deep to know that name . Not many heads from the US know how good he was. Sucked I think he broke his ankle at Wallenberg steps. Nasty. I got some picks still of him when he was staying g in NYC with us. Super nice guy. Anyway I wanna see that too ! Peace ! Mike 13$T. LES
