Unless I'm really married to hunting in a specific pool, I almost always take it when I can. Too early can be rough, since boss pedestals tend to give health for those *slightly less worth* chaosed devil deals, but there are so many useless tears ups that come in since you can cap it so easy that I'm glad to throw the whole pool away.

When i first started playing Isaac, whenever i saw chaos i just grabbed it, like, i didn't had mods so i had no idea what the items did, a friend of mine was telling me all the items and stuff and one day just told me about the item description mod. So Yeah, even after that whenever i see chaos i grab it even after knowing what the item does.

Chaos is an item that gives better and better results the more item pedestals and/or rerolling opportunities you have. So it's essentially perfect for Greed mode or on your case, a Sharp plug + d6 run.

Chaos is one of the best items in the entire game unless you're playing with rerolls since rigging is so easy I always take chaos and it usually pays off unless its one of those active item and quality 0 and 1 runs (99% of them)
