An important thing to remember about procreate animation, is that if you need multiple layers for each frame, USE LAYER GROUPS!!!! each layer group is treated like a single frame, it’s so helpful

With flipaclip you can copy and paste scenes which makes your job easier instead of drawing over your last scene. Once you have pasted the scene you wanted , let's say you were animating the ocean and it was going upwards, you could erase the previous line and draw a line past that previous line. This makes the wave strech further out. You can keep doing this until your happy with it. Theirs a little animation tip for ya when you are using flipaclip.

Pretty much every time i've animated something I just did the initial sketch in the actual animation program (cause I kinda hate drawing in them), and then screenshoting every single frame so that I kan take them into photoshop or just about any program that is just for drawing. Once all of the frames have been polished I'll put them back into whatever animation program i'm using, adjust some things, notice a misstake, cry a little, fix said misstake, try to export while my laptop gets nice and toasty, and last of all: Take a long nap.

Just a tip: -to copy/paste frames in FlipaClip, you can hold down on the “mini frames” at the bottom and you get options to copy, paste, add frames, and delete frames -to make a gif on FlipaClip, when you’re exporting the animation, tap the mp4 option and change it to GIF Wonderful video, I love your art and animations!!! Your characters are so cute!! ^^ It was cool and interesting to see how the two compared :D

The biggest turnoff for me when it came to procreate's animation was that the amount of frames that you could have was SUPER limited. For example, the square canvas allowed you to have only 60 frames. If you're like me and usually make longer animations this would probably not be the best program for you.

I thought the amount of layers/frames that are available is affected by the storage or maybe the capability of your iPad? It's because if your iPad can't handle too many frames it'll heat up and starts glitching. Procreate started glitching and keeps closing itself when I used 200 something layers before so I think it's because of the iPad and not Procreate itself can't handle too many frames. (I might be wrong, this is just base off what I heard and my own experience)

Re: fill bucket in procreate - there was an update that lets you continue to fill the colours after you've dropped one colour onto your layer! When you drag and drop, an option will appear at the top along the lines of "continue filling with recolour" and you can just tap every part you wanna fill!! I don't know if this is available for the animation aspect of procreate, I haven't tried it yet, but it exists for illustrations at the very least!!

Flip-a-clip is really simple, and it's base is just animation, procreate has more advanced art tools, and the animamating side is just a side add-on, I made my first animation on flip-a-clip...

Procreate has several other ways to fill in areas than the drag and drop now! I even learned a new one today :3 lots of videos available on the various ways ^^ (such as the selection tool on automatic and color fill, or the recolor adjustment option)

i use procreate as my main art program, i use the animation tool alot, especially for the animatic/animation im working on. i haven't posted on my channel for so long that the change in art skill will probably surprise some people. im really proud and amazed at procreates animation feature when you use it right, it just takes time to get used to how it works i make lip syncing alot, and i usually just say the lyrics over and over and check it with the audio when im done, usually it works for me
