You have to implement Jay Z’s indirect and subtle approach of doing this when you aren’t a very outspoken and opinionated person. Lets take Kanye for example, he has a cult like following but unlike Jay Z, Kanye is VERY outspoken and opinionated and willing to take all the heat that comes with the rash things he say. Both their strategies can work; Jay’s is more safe and deceptive while Kanye’s is more high risk/high reward.💯

Folks that bought into Tidal gotta feel dumb AF lol..... This whole "buying black owned" when pushed by entertainers comes at the detriment to our community, we don't need "more music" platforms, we need more schools, black-owned construction companies and property management companies, even black owned furniture companies or cars. Folks over here praising these entertainers are goofy. Jay the GOAT of Rap AND being trickery lmao
@11bornrich8 ай бұрын
Tidal wasn't about starting our own thing, Jay SOLELY did that to force the "higher ups" to give him a seat at the table. He couldn't careless if it actually competed with Apple, the fast growth alone and his ability to get some of the biggest artists to join him was enough for him to be taken as a serious threat. Notice ever since Jay started sending those serious shots with certain business moves he has all these NFL, NBA, political, government relationships. Tidal accomplished everything Jay wanted it to accomplish. Despite Jay f'ing a lot of people over on the way to the top, in the end, once he got there, he's brought A LOT of people with him and is now known for what he does behind the scenes for a lot of people who wouldn't have access to guys that sit at the table.

His use of the law brings the most profit, he does it on a much riskier/ballsy scale & in a much bigger platform. Everything he does business wise is making national news. I genuinely love your videos but you also need a fact checker on your team. There's always just one or two things that aren't correct. Sometimes there are a few things that are a little disingenuous too, like in this video: 1. Apple Music never existed when Tidal was launched, so Tidal wasnt created to compete with them. Tidal launch with JAY-Z and other celebs was March 2015, Apple Music launched June 2015, Amazon Music streaming service fully launched in Oct 2016. It was definitely launched as an alternative to Spotify. 2. The Cristal thing, that statement that the CEO made, he ended it with "I'm sure Dom or Krug would love to have their business", that explicitly means he doesn't want their business. It's disrespectful.

That tidal move was whack but an attempt to save face that he actually succeeded in. As far as maintaining the initial mission of Tidal, that was abandoned. I never bought into Tidal, seemed like a cash grab to me from the jump. However nothing else in this video seems particularly nefarious to me. Kanye has way more cultish fans than anyone. I had this feeling for a long time. Sure Jay's a great rapper, but I never really understood why people rank him as an undeniable GOAT. There's always been someone hotter than him, in any era. You can find better songs, with more energy, better lyrics, catchier hooks. Additionally, outside of the US, Jay-Z is not very well known outside hip-hop circles. He created an image of success, luxury and acted like he's the greatest and people believed him, plus we all know there's consequences for any artist that speaks bad or overshines Jay. All in all, I can agree that he's great, and an even greater businessman. But he's def not the GOAT, plus his persona and actions seem fabricated and shady.

It’s funny to me that jay Z doesn’t understand that crystal isn’t super enthusiastic about rappers taking them on. I find it funny because it’s so normal for us Europeans to want to have nothing to do with the American culture when it comes to luxury items. In our eyes America is great for lots of things but not class. We appreciate subtlety especially in wealth. But American luxury is something’s very loud, that is something that we really don’t like. We find it so normal to dislike this however that we will make comments like the owner of crystal did. For that I offer my apologies to my American brothers. There is no justification for looking down on something who buys your product.

He’s a weirdo and the dudes that stay on the bottom of jays shoe are crazy 😂 but he tells the truth how he came up in this industry on the song d’evils… the only song I’ll ever listen to by jay z cause he lets you know how it works in the industry… jay z is a wicked smart man who is really tight with the powers that be… he’s probably the biggest coin in the industry and fifty can explain his character perfectly… he ain’t a shaman or a guru he’s just a regular man like you and I just with all the money… that’s the only difference…
