May be that didn’t work with Benson character as she always have everyone’s back. Not answering a call for such a high-risk work isn’t an option. I worked as a doctor before transferring to research and I never had an easy night because I always have the work phone on in case the nurse failed to reach the on-call doctor and I was needed. When your job is to answer for emergencies, it’s truly hard to turn your back, even in vacations.

Because he didn't do his job, "home work", but they are together when juge Linden declares that Olivia would the best foster mother...svu's like a family. - - now this family is torn away because Rollins has to leave so we will see younger characters. My pov, only, when they added Kat to the squad, it was not successfully but it was not a total failure ether. And "they" want to carry to broadcast SVU...same formula, different characters.
