The gun was in her hand , with her finger on the trigger , pointing in Mr. Herring direction but he shot himself ! WOW ! I don't think that she even said " I am sorry ! " not even once . She chased this man down , block his movement , pulled out her gun and shot Mr. Herring . Even with witnesses saying that there was no fight , she still claims that Mr. Herring was fighting with her . I mean , if she was afaird for the satety of other people , then why did she chase him down ? To me , it was out of pure hate and evil grounds behind the shooting because a person that is afaird of someone , does not chase that person . If you have hate in your heart and got a fire arm it's hard to think straight sometimes. Many people feel justified to take a persons life just like she did based off assumptions, perceptions and their personal experiences in life. @@peanut_butter_falcon, she was charged with malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, false imprisonment and 3 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. She will not be eligible for parole for 43 years. Whenever someone is found guilty in our country their attorney will usually appeal. In this case l don't see an appellate court changing anything because she lied on the man saying he shot himself and she defied the order not to follow him which ultimately led to his death. She's 25 now, but she'll be pushing 70 when her opportunity for parole comes around...every moment of her life between now and then, that *enormous* span of time, will be spent behind bars. And all because she felt that witnessing a perceived crime (in no danger herself, despite what she claimed to the court) and having a gun on her somehow gave her the right to deem herself as a police officer with a license to kill.

Or her lawyer helped her believe that, and thus they did not only take it to trial, but provided facts for the parole agents to deny her parole a few times over because her lies, demeanor, and deliberations are all out bare in public, and most importantly, in sworn testimony in the system.

I experienced a hit & run accident It’s so upsetting but instead of me focusing on who did this, I started thanking God. My car almost started spinning out of control as I was her while on a bridge on main highway. A witness stopped to check on me and described the driver. Also wanted to follow him but decided not to. I’m happy he didn’t because you dont know what people have going on or carrying in the state of Texas. Never let anger get the best of you

So...the judge effectively gave her what the original plea deal was. Smh. This woman deserved life without parole.

@@MarquishaFreeman6043 that would bring nothing. u have to understand what punishment is. punishment is spending a minimum 43 years FROM AGE 25 in prison, then being released when you're OLD AF. plus parole is dependant upon showing remorse. she ain got that now...and she might just live out her life in prison. that 10 times worse than the death penalty.

You do see the color of her skin, right? That's the only reason she was granted bond. Had this been the other way around, she would've already been charged, convicted & sentenced. And no. I'm not reading replies

@@latimoreshenii3334 you're not reading replies because you know that you're 100% wrong. I have seen many news stories on youtube of murderers of the opposite skin color who are not only out on bond, but go on to commit other crimes.

That's what bond is. You get to stay out of jail while your case goes through the system as long as you're not a flight risk or a danger to the community.

By the way, Hannah probably would've gotten credit for time served if she had been in jail awaiting trial rather than out on bond, so it makes no difference so long as she was law abiding while she was awaiting trial, which by all appearances she seems to have been. Judge Malone is a great judge and make the correct call. If we take the concept of innocent until proven guilty seriously, we should try to give bond where possible. I say this with full disdain for Hannah Payne, and not defending her in any way.

I'm still stunned at her ignorance, and arrogance over her failure to see that she was the aggressor in this confrontation from the start. She never saw, and still doesn't see, her actions as criminal.
