"I ain't trying to hear that!': Darrell Brooks blew up on Judge Jennifer Dorow after pledging he would conduct himself properly when coming back into the courtroom. "I just want to be treated fairly," Brooks said pleading his case to the judge before she sent him back into the other courtroom.

@blazaybla22
@blazaybla22 Жыл бұрын
@@jonwayne70 I don’t think so. He was been ranting this whole trial about “subject matter jurisdiction” which is a common fallacy among so-called sovereign citizens. Normally it has to deal with like whether a court can deal with a bankruptcy if it’s not a bankruptcy court. However when he’s being specific about his concerns he references “common law versus admiralty law” which reflects a whole pseudolegalistic school of thought based in a conspiracy theory that at some point American courts became maritime courts without jurisdiction over citizens, and they use that to then say that common law (that which applies to citizens) is basically whatever they want it to be. It’s wild stuff, I recommend looking up the Wikipedia article for sovereign citizens for more. He explicitly states when announcing he’ll represent himself pro se that he’s going to be representing himself as a sovereign citizen. Of course it isn’t clear how much of this is really based on his belief in the movement’s ideals, or if, like his insistence on the notion of jury nullification, it’s just something he heard about in jail, and/or spent a few hours looking up on the computer the jail provides him to build his case, and went all in on it thinking he had found a magical get out of jail free card because he couldn’t exercise critical thinking and fell prey to his own narcissistically disordered delusion that reality (including the law) is whatever he wants it to be.

This is how he's gotten through life as an adult. Whenever a woman sets boundaries, he disregards them and gaslights her into taking the blame for doing him wrong. We heard that when the judge read the transcript of a jail phone call with Erika after he ran her over. The judge and the lead prosecutor are the first women he encountered in life that he cannot bully into getting his way. And he's filing an appeal. Good luck sifting through that transcript. Half of it will be his outbursts.

I too keep thinking about the women in abusive relationships with him. His whole demeanor screams wife beater. And the gaslighting of the judge is textbook. The one thing he gets really upset about is Erika Patterson’s final victory over him.

I have thought the same a few times... I have known some difficult people in my life (can I say narcissist again?) - but nothing on this scale. He is simply impossible to communicate with, word salad, deflecting, etc. He said somewhere today, do not say he is heartless - how else to describe such a beast?

@@melaniereed3494 - I've thought about it and I've decided "unfunny/unentertaining Saturday morning cartoon villain." "All the worst traits in one person," is also good. My mind also makes some parallels with The Thenardiers as far as how outlandishly awful he is.

The round of applause gave me such a big smile. You go Judge!! Edit: Was rudely made aware by a few nasty commentors below that the SIX times the ENTIRE COURTROOM gave a round of applause wasn't included in this particular snippet.. Soooo, if you want A real HUGE smile and appreciation for this awesome judge, I guess you can look up the entire livestream. It's SO worth the watch!! ❤️ this woman!!

I have a friend like this. Loud, impatient, and didn’t like it when things didn’t go his way. And even when multiple people told him he did something wrong and I’d confront him about it, he’d say “you’re believing everyone over me? That’s not fair to me.”

I can't believe I missed this it happened when I was going thru some problems but thank nowhere near this bad lol I hope he finds a new attitude change while he's in there. It's basically his attitude that ruined his whole life. Too bad. Worse and more irritating than an addict...
