Law enforcement pleaded with Darrell Brooks to tell the truth after saying his story didn't add up. "You don't have a car.....you don't own a car.....so why did we find you with a car key in your pocket?" an officer asked Brooks.

@@timpritts1499 That's nauseating and such a slap in the face to the many victims. It's funny how she thinks her son, who showed his sanity throughout the trial, should only have to go to a mental health facility. 🙄 No doubt he is volatile and lacks empathy, but that doesn't mean he's mentally insane. Hopefully whoever interviewed her didn't fall for that nonsense. I've studied quite a bit about narcissism these past few years as I was married to one for 22 years and find human psychology interesting. One thing I've discovered is that narcissists always have one parent who is a narcissist. It's no secret who Darrell's narcissistic parent is...and who her narcissistic parent is. Bishop Grandma is just as bad.

@@betty-janececile5214 Might not be so much as jail-house legal advice as it was a strategy 1 of his original lawyers mentioned. But FWIW, you're 1 of only a few people I've seen discussing this. Seems like nobody else realizes it's part of his "plan". From my understanding, he's doing everything he possibly can to throw the judge off track and cause her to do ANYTHING that could help him win an appeal. And I believe the judge knew this, as someone mentioned she'd admonish him and remove him from court, but always stopped short of holding him in contempt. If she did (even if it was warranted), she was afraid he could use that as ammo for his appeal, claiming he didn't get a fair trial, the judge was bias against him, etc. So even tho it may have seemed like she was being easy on him, it may have been part of the big picture to make sure he never gets out.

I'm not too keen on giving the government, the same government that runs the IRS and the DMV, the ability to kill its own citizens. If they get it wrong, just once, an innocent person gets put to death. People find it a lot easier to brush that aside, unless it'd happen to them or someone they love/care about. Then I bet it'd be a pretty big deal. Death penalty is purely revenge and vengeance driven, not justice based. Besides, the death penalty has been proven time & time & time again not to be an effective deterrent to crime.

Since 3 years old? Truly? In lifespan and childhood development, it’s not uncommon for a child that age to lie IF they’re fearful of discipline. However, “normal/typical” kids who weren’t born deviant psychopaths don’t began the “creative lying” ( which is actually a fairly normal and even healthy sign of childhood development ) until around the age of 8 years. It’s also typically short lived- a year or less. He’s apparently stuck developmentally at age 8.

@@noodlepoodlegirl in the trial when the ME testified to the autopsy she performed on Jackson…Delay Brooks asked her in cross why was the decision made for Jackson to be an organ donor. She was crying and Delay did this sad pause and could barely look at her. But, throughout this whole ordeal…opening and closing - he basically made it seem like the state, the judge, and the media were all insulting him and picking on him for no reason. He really seems like he doesn’t care about the victims, but he sure wants to control Erika. I noticed that when the gentleman that is a hairdresser testified, the one with a criminal past…Delay didn’t pull his meltdown stuff on him. So, that leads me to believe that he has woman issues. Erika testified during her 1st direct exam if she was in that SUV, and her response was (paraphrasing), “we came to Wisconsin together back in June 2021. We were only supposed to stay for a few weeks but we never left. We were staying with his mother but bc he’s not allowed to be around her, we just slept in the SUV…” So, if Delay cannot be around his own mother…I mean geeeeez!! I think he knew he didn’t have a chance - lawyer or not! That’s why he rep himself so he can speak and be amongst “the people” as if he was some sort of lawyer. The materials he has were likely found on Google, has his mother pay for them, and he reads them in court. SMJ, admiral court, rants…what a scam! He’s got that Bible but just opens it right as fast as they can. The Bible is full of stories about prison, betrayal, murder, mental health, and NOW you’re back to talk to God? Well, He now has your attention.

He wants other ppl (in this case, the detective) to show him the courtesies he’s not willing to show them. Here, it’s being honest and completely transparent.
