That's what I couldn't understand. But she knew that baby would die and she left her alone long enough to make sure she died. She waited to call to get her act together and fake like she was crying and hurt when in reality she was relieved. She did this all for the D. Those few days are probably memorable to her. Come back, and instead of going home, she had more stops to make. People to see, more fun to be had. And that's just what she did so she could lay up with two different man. She'll have plenty of time to savor the memories.

Exactly. I sat behind a lady on the bus, it was late evening. The lady recognized a kid she knew, and immediately picked up the phone calling the kid to go home as it was getting late..Then proceed to call the mother telling her where the kid was. This made me happy. It takes a village.

I work as an emergency dispatcher myself in other country that’s not USA. First rule is once you get the address you HAVE to tell people help is on the way so they calm down and you get info in a more efficient way.

My mom left me alone in a crib in a dark room and i screamed for two hours. I was horse by the time my granny came in the room. She was mad that i had been left for a few hours. My mom claimed her friend told her to do it, that i would be alright. I am nearly 60 years old and i still remember it like it was last week. 😢 Please, if your baby is crying, please comfort them. Pick them up, love them, and hold them next to your skin. Don't leave them alone to cry. 💔

Plea deals are standard operating procedure. It saves the courts the time and cost of a trials. The system is clogged up as it is and without plea deals cases would get dropped all the time as there is a time limit to getting a conviction as everyone is guaranteed the right to a trail within a reasonable time. They only needed the one charge to get the life sentence, and they did it without wasting more money and resources than needed. Job well done in my eyes.

WHY don’t 911 dispatchers make it ABUNDANTLY clear that help is on the way? Just say it!!! “Ma’am, I have dispatched emergency services. They are on their way. I need you to explain exactly what’s going on.” So tired of hearing people continuously beg for emergency services that have ALREADY been dispatched WHILE the dispatcher keeps saying “I need you to tell me what’s going on.” It gives the impression that they are NOT going to send help UNTIL they are satisfied their questions have been answered. This almost always leads to the person calling becoming angry and the dispatcher becoming frustrated. Yet they STILL don’t clearly state that emergency services are already on the way. Obviously this woman is vile for leaving her child to die but that is unknown to the dispatcher.

I didn’t even realize that she tried to cover up the fact she didn’t abandon her. I thought her story was, I left her with someone else. She literally talked like she was with her daughter the entire time. Somehow that makes it worse!! The second interview she was definitely figuring out she’s not as smart as she thought she was.

If you REALLY mean what you say, there are dozens of children in the foster care system who have been through the same experience but fortunately lived. Consider looking into adoption. Our society is so , so broken,. Unfortunately, people who are unfit to be parents appear to be the most fertile of them all and therefore, our foster system is full and CPS is inept. People cry and moan about being unable to have their own children and yet there are so many children who need homes but only a fraction of people who foster or adopt. Every story like this has people(myself included) commenting on how they would take the child in a heartbeat, yet we do nothing for the children who survive this type of monstrosity.

I’d put money on her spending several days planning what to say on that 911 call. It’s not normal. She absolutely knew that child wouldn’t survive. They did say the dad was never involved since she was born. So the baby was fatherless basically. Didnrt say anything about family so am guessing relatives were far away, or non-existant or not willing. She should have given the baby up for adoption when she was born. @juliannajane6386 I understood it was the neighbor that took care of the baby more than her. Cause if grandma was next door then I guess she would just be raising the child. Or at least drop the baby for her vacation.

I drive my dog to my mums house everyday while I go to work because I don’t want him to be alone and he’s a DOG! There is no reality where this decision made any sense. This woman is pure evil incarnate.

This is one story that continues to haunt me. That little baby comes to mind often. Unconscionable neglect she suffered, for days, alone. It's sickening.

It really is sickening. That poor baby was in a prison, locked in a bigger prison. (A playpen in a locked house) and that Monster is still trying to tell people about herself? Her child died! She’s talking about what she’s been through???

She has a degree in Education and came here to the US and got a job as a substitute teacher at a Charter school? I don't know how anyone could think she was not in her right mind, or an uneducated girl from a third world country with different values. She is just evil.

I thought that too. Her Spanish was so elementary that I was interpreting her statement aloud and my Spanish is asi asi. Also- she was able to make the 911 call in English.
