30:02 that man didn’t love anyone but himself. No one, no parent, who truly loves their kids would go a WHOLE year without seeing or speaking to them without any actual reason for them to be apart (like military service, hospitalization, needing to work overseas). He wasn’t even in a different state from them and NEVER saw or spoke to any of them? I bet you if anyone looked into his life during that year for real he was out living his best life, living it up, care and kid free. If he even had a small set of balls on him he would have filed court papers to have visitation with his children during that time and explain he and ruby were “separated”. He’s a deadbeat no matter how he wants to try and sugar coat or clean up the narrative now.
@ryleeherrera59610 ай бұрын
I have the same suspicion, and definitely think he is NOT a perfect parent but I also wonder if the way Jodi/her programs manipulated their clients into believing themselves as monsters who are habitually passing on the horrors of their past really did drive him away with the idea that it’s to protect them… Ruby is also clearly a narcissist and I don’t doubt the power of her hand in shaming and blaming problems in their relationship and children on him. I don’t doubt he’s made mistakes, especially allowing the things we’ve even just seen on the channel but I don’t necessarily think he is strictly careless or detached… especially after this whole situation I really hope he comes to see where he made mistakes and is able to help his children grow and one day heal from what happened to them, their relationships, and how having the spotlight on them in these terrible times has harmed them. The anger is real for me though… the whole world got to see inside their lives and it took so long and such a devastating situation for the children to be rescued. It’s so disgusting knowing that there are people out there who find power and satisfaction in hurting/punishing children.

Problem with that is that many signed up for their program because they were a fan of Ruby, got sucked in but over time many of them either figured out the truth of what was going on or became victims themselves so to say that all those working for connections need to be investigated leaves out that fact because Jodi was very good at destroying families. She would be good at seeing someone in the family that she could use like Ruby for her own ends then work to separate the wife from the husband by using their religious beliefs against them…she very much used shame and degrading on the husbands to make them feel that they were a danger to their families to the point that many have even contemplated ending their own lives. Which is why when so many were so upset at Kevin and were saying he should also face charges didn’t take into account that fact either not realizing that Jodi knows what she is doing and very much knows how to use religion to work her goals. The same goes for the children and using their religion against them to enforce their beliefs and even the idea of perfection onto them and when they don’t get them use the tactics of shame and degrading to punish them and over time as that doesn’t work move towards the idea that they need to repent their sins and do actual punishment to cast out the devil because Jodi truly believes that she talks with God and by doing all that she is doing she is going to be praised and rewarded for all that she is doing when he returns.

@@jocelyncable4242 …….Jodi was apparently put back on the list of recommended after her license was restored (I guess the church liked her willingness to narc) and Ruby was paid for her work on YT by the church. The church pays family creators to show wholesome images. However, I don’t have any idea if Ruby was paid for her work with Connections but as Jodi was still a recommended therapist, she was. Ruby and Kevin both said the church recommended Jodi (probably for Chad)

Her husband should be on trial for child neglect. There is not way he wasn't aware of the abuse.

Yes exactly, the law overlooks the husbands. They often get a free pass because they are the bread runners, they go to work, they leave all the house chores and kids responsibilities to their wives.

Sometimes you people are unrealistic! How do you know she didn't pay her to do it? You allow grown teenagers to stay at your home and you clean up after them? So they have no chore just a live in maid? Like that's how the real world is🤦🏾♀️

@vlimavlima449 ай бұрын
@MelanieTomlin-uh4qs Something is not right with you. You were Ruby's follower. First of all, the mother asked for a favor to keep her children - the teenagers didn't ask for a place to stay, so they don't owe her anything, and in life, it's not everything about money, people do goodwill. I know you are not familiar with it. You are Jodi's & Ruby's school...

The fact that her niece has been speaking up for 15 years about what that monster aunt had done to them and she had NOT BEEN PUT BEHIND BARS already long time ago speaks volumes about how jurisdiction often does not protect the victims. Love the niece's message: listen to your intuition and believe your intuition.

I cannot believe the courage the 12-year-old had! This is reminiscent of my childhood. Some people should not have children. CPS let us down. The emotional and physical scars don't fade.

Calling and getting CPS to take action is like calling Chick Fil A on a Sunday. They are absolutely useless the majority of the time. They had been contacted numerous times prior to the boy escaping and going to the neighbors and did nothing. They have failed so many children, and someone needs to do something about it!

You know what's funny her reason for why she did it was so petty like siblings don't pull pranks on eachother all the time it was not that serious that her son needed to lose his bedroom privileges that punishment in itself is way too extreme not even prisoners get treated that way.

Ruby started by violating her children by exhibiting them to the whole world. I can't imagine what it must feel to grow up having my privacy, my reactions, conversations etc. on a KZbin channel for everyone to see. That right there is insane.

I think the 2 oldest, Shari and Chad, will have the best chance of healing. They seem to be the most independent of the group, probably because they've had to be. The 2 in the middle, like most middle kids, are going to have a rough time of it. As far as RF and EF, time will tell. They both had to experience the worst of Ruby and Jodi. Ruby never seemed to even like the 2 of them in the first place. I really hope the best for all of them but it's not going to be easy for any of them. Although Shari did have the insight to get away from Ruby as soon as she turned 18. Hopefully the rest will look to her example.

Parents should not be able to monetize their children in the internet. Period. No ads. No payment for videos including minors. This would greatly cut down on kids being posted publicly. Because there would be no incentive and would protect children.
@PonderingStudent9 ай бұрын
There are very strict rules for child actors. Extending those rules and protections to children online would be one way to tackle the issue.
