Prosecutor Creighton Waters wrapped up his closing arguments by slamming Alex Murdaugh for the lies and thefts investigators believe led to him allegedly murdering his wife and son in June 2021. “Everyone’s lying on the master liar,” Waters said explaining the state’s witnesses’ testimonies don’t match up with the disgraced lawyer’s story. “Shame is an extraordinary provocation,” Waters said detailing why he believes Alex killed Maggie and Paul. “His ego couldn’t stand that and he became a family annihilator.”

People move their heads all kinds of ways to mean yes and no. I saw it constantly in court for decades. You're incorrect on that. Under questioning, lawyers would qualify what the movements mean. Shaking or nodding head is reported as "moving" head so as not to interpret because one cannot know.

I've never been so convinced of someone's guilt based on circumstantial evidence. Right from the start, the first thing he says to the deputy is "it's a long story', his wife and son were brutally shot behind him and he's already laying down an alibi. The most telling thing for me is when he was on the stand and stuttering his way through, claiming the pills made his memory bad. His own defence team looked at the ceiling as if to say, well you've just screwed us. He may have been on pills but he was able to recall all their dates of birth at the murder scene and have the alibi ready. He wasn't concerned that there may be a killer on the loose. Why didn't they kill Alex too? By this point, even his own defence team knows he's guilty but they have to defend him, no matter what. At no stage have I seen or heard anything in the form of actual facts from his defence team, merely fanciful stories that would be a credit to AM himself. Their case is based on tears and sympathy. They have nothing else. If this monster is found not guilty this jury will go down in history as the dumbest set of humans since OJ. I believe that he was involved in the housekeeper's death and that this house of cards will continue to fall after the verdict.

I wanted A.M. to be innocent. Through watching the evidence totally convinced he is not innocent.. All the lies.... He also does not seem affected by the prosecutors' words.. He wasn't as smart as he gave himself credit for... He doesn't get upset when the prosecution says Maggie is running towards her baby. Those words cut any parent deep. Waters was pretty succinct today, which was good to see. I also think he did well tying up the timeline and the bizarre behavior of Eeelick within it, which is crucial. He also did a good job of highlighting the sheer amount improbabilities that would’ve had to take place for it to be someone else. Vigilantes using the family weapons, or the exact same model? Ok. But how’d they know Mags and PawPaw were there and why was Alex still breathing when they left? And weren’t you the one who had to beg Mags to come there? Why were you moving like a crackhead with 270 steps in 2 min all of a sudden? You called Mags 3 times, but didn’t think to drive 30sec down the other driveway to see her at the kennels before you headed to Alameda? Then speeding and slowing between Moselle and Alameda like a crazy person right around the time the crime happened? It doesn’t make any sense. Just too many lies and/or “I don’t remember”. But the most telling thing to me is the first responders body cam. Eeelick’s whole demeanor is just wrong. And it stays wrong throughout the subsequent interviews he did with detectives. He never seems particularly hot about finding the people who just blew away half his family, as most people would be. And when he does ask, it truly does sound more like he’s fishing for info rather then genuinely wanting to know how close they are to finding those responsible.

Why didn’t they say anything about the fact that Maggie left everything to Alec in her will. In 2016 he sold Maggie Moselle for five dollars. And when she died, everything went to him. That would be a significant reason to kill her when his back was up against the wall. And what about the house at the beach where she was staying? The one she didn’t want to leave but her sister had to convince her. They didn’t go into all of that really as far as I remember.
@lmsr5305
@lmsr5305 Жыл бұрын
the problem with your theory is this .... he turned over everything to maggie. and he went out of his way for a year or two before the murders to get all his assets out of his name. So, the last thing he would want is to have ALL that Maggie owned/inherited to go back to him because then the civil lawsuit would have assets to get from him. The only people that have now benefited from the murders of Maggie and Paul are the benefactors in the Mallory Beach wrongful death suit.
