Sometimes people hit the wrong button by mistake & don't realise it (especially on mobile)... and unfortunately others don't realise that the like/dislike is intended to give feedback to the channel/KZbin on the _video itself,_ so they give the thumbs down because they don't like the _crime._ I've had to explain that issue to quite a few people who watch true crime content... obviously no-one likes the crimes! 🤷♀

If it makes anyone on the board here happy, I just wanted to let you know that I read up on this case. As of 2011, Officer Torres retired after not being able to overcome the physical and psychological effects of that night. Officer Rogers left the force, his life unraveled and he was homeless until around 2011. Apparently, the murderer has lived long enough to regret murdering Officer Sergei and came to grips with being an old man serving life in prison. He remarked that "had I shot and killed the police officer in any other state I would have been executed". He has a son who, at the time of the article, was 35. and the murderer regretted not being able to watch him grow up. By 2011, the murderer was 60, balding and gray, and had not had a single visitor since 1989. He was also prepared to spend the rest of his eternal life in Hell. His only request was to have a sit-down "gunfighter to gunfighter" with Officer Kennedy. I am curious if this talk ever took place. If anyone knows Officer Kennedy, please let us know. Thank you.

It’s so sad that when you watch it, you see that the police rang the man’s doorbell just so they could get into the apartment building (just to sort out something else with another couple arguing ) because the door was locked. But the man thought the police wanted to arrest him and search his apartment (since he had weapons and guns) ect… So the man jumped out of his window and shot a police officer so they couldn’t arrest him. So basically the police officer died for no reason because the man thought he was going to get arrested. 😢
