I can’t believe that I’m the first comment after all these views. Glad to see that I’m not the only one that doesn’t get things first try, keep fooling around watch some videos and try again there is something satisfying about making something useful out of scrap, nice work

Thanks KF, I'm still at it and love welding. I am a mechanical designer by trade so I see how things work and enjoy building.

Good idea, when doing a video cut to the chase too many repeats are boring but its a good tradesman that admist mistakes and corrects them well done

Yep. The tines are too long, spaced much too far apart and they’d be far more efficient if they were pointed spikes.
@ministermanoutdoors6179 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input. I did shorten them a bit, and it works quite well after a rain. I spaced them about the same as the average pull-behind aerator. Thanks for watching.
@lgnigh2 жыл бұрын
Offset the tines then when you turn it won't tear up your yard

Hi there.. I have small lawns... Could you design something like that. To go on a self propel lawn mower..🤔🛠.. Or something that's 2' wide Pull behind a John Deere.?? . I'm not a welder nowhere near is nowhere near that skill.. How about using a Empty Propane tank.. And can you make me something..??. I'm not a Wilder..lol.😁
@ministermanoutdoors61792 жыл бұрын
That would be great and i would love to help if we lived close by. The shiping cost may be a prohibitor. The only thing I purchased was the two pillow block bearings and the wheels. I found the rest at the junk yard. Yes you can make one with a propane tank or something 2' wide. The diameter of the tank would have be enough to allow for the weight requirements when filled with water or sand. Water is best because you can drain it to make it lighter for transport. Thanks for watching. I'll be posting my DIY lawn sprayer rig this week. So please subscribe so you can get notified when I post that. I also make and sell battery powered backpack sprayers.

Great video!!!whats the material size you using?and the welder ?
@ministermanoutdoors61792 жыл бұрын
Hi, I used 1.5"x1/8" tube and the tank is 10" dia x 24" long (may be a little longer) . My welder is a Forney 140 MP 120v welder (mig, tig, and stick - love it).

Yes, I fill it about 75% with water to get around a 2-2.5" hole.
