Great video. This is something I have been interested in getting into for current mowing clients but I never really knew where to start.

Great video! I'm in Kentucky and will be taking the test. I had to call because I wasn't sure if I only needed to study for Category 3, but it seems pretty straight forward.

I like your honesty man. Thanks a lot. I am thinking to get into it. I live in PA, I got my study materials all ready. I practice for the last two years on my lawn and the results are AMAZING. I want to go smaller (just me) at least for now. Any particular guideline? Thanks man.

Thinking about a walk behind. I see you are running one and sit down mower. What makes you grab the walk behind over the sit down? Thanks
@LawnCrack3 жыл бұрын
We basically use the zero turn whenever possible as it mows a larger area in a shorter period of time - bigger deck and faster speed... The walk-behind is great for smaller lawns and can fit in more gates. We also have lots of slopes in our area, obviously, the walk-behind is much safer on hills. I made a video on this years ago too: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m5bCYqt-bL-bebs

Do you offer SEO services for all types of business? Or just lawn care?
@LawnCrack3 жыл бұрын
I'm comfortable working with almost any type of business that serves clients near their business. I'm currently working with a lawyer, a veterinarian, a physical therapist, a piano store, an HVAC company, tree services, power washing services, an urgent care facility, and an art gallery outside the typical L&L realm.

I was wondering, can you lay anything under the mulch to prevent weed growth as well as using pre merchant ?
@LawnCrack3 жыл бұрын
Look into 'weed barrier fabric.' There are lots of options. I am personally not a fan of using it under mulch because the mulch will break down on top of the fabric and weeds can once again grow... Some people still swear by it though. I do agree with using it when installing decorative rock instead of mulch since the rock won't break down.

I've tried this in the past and just don't have a passion for it. I'd reach out to your local commercial fertilization and weed control product supplier. They tend to have some knowledgeable guys at those places that are happy to share anything and everything they can so you can buy more of their product! Around here we have Advanced Turf Solutions and SiteOne for example.
