The First Mow On My Golf Green!!

It's time for the first mow on my bentgrass golf green! I'm loving have a golf green in my backyard. It's been a great process from the USGA Construction till the first mow!

Looks like you have enough room for a JD 260 series mower. I've had a 180C, 220SL, and now a 260C. Really makes Bermuda look amazing. You're not kidding about the axles hooking into things. One moment you're driving straight, and the next you're making a hard left turn into the flower beds. 🤣

Wow Ben. Although it looked nerve wracking getting the mower onto the green, what a job. Taking the barrier away too, that was some job, I agree it looks awesome without it. I always think if there is a wee mishap building or progressing the green, you will have a solution already thought out to rectify it. Brilliant Ben.

Congratulations! Keep up the awesome work! Having my own short cut turf, I appreciate what it takes. That said I used to have a bentgrass green in my backyard also and couldn’t keep up with it. Did the whole thing, drainage and piping, root barrier and sand base, i had three seasons before digging it all out and replacing with regular grass. PRG and KBG here in the states.
