Mr. Welk and his Champagne Music Makers raised a stream of bubbles in this performance of famous musical entertainers. Champagne Lady Mrs. Zimmer delighted as usual; and Mr. Hovis's hosting was grand. How thoughtful of him to include his daughter, Julie, in one of the segments and to honor Ralna by saying that she could charm ears off a rabbit! My ears and eyes were blessed with this wholesome entertainment. How kind of you to post it!

Thank you for the fun episode. It is always good to see George conduct his own compositions, let-alone his arrangements of those composed by others. If this was Ava's first show (didn't catch if that was the case(?)), a good way to kick things off, honoring Lynn with one of her best known hits.

I don't think it was Ava's first show (I'm pretty sure I remember her singing "Take Me Home, Country Roads" during her first appearance) but it was definitely a very early appearance for her.
