You can see the fire and passion in his eyes when he talks about Muay Thai. Struggles to express himself in his limited English, but the message he gets across is no less poignant. Really, if you don’t do what you love, life hasn’t much meaning.

It hurts so much in the heart when Professor Gae speaks of the lack of having gone to the end and conquered his dream of being a champion, every word is loaded with much sadness, otherwise it becomes evident how he stands along with his fighters such as " he fights "their struggle. We get older and become more sensitive and empathic with the next.

Thank you very much for the video! So inspiring and sad at the same time... I have started muay thai only 6 months ago and I just fell in love with it. I have started training twice a week and hell it was hard at first (after a decade of heavy drinking and smoking) but now I can go train 5 times a week and mostly after work (10/11 hours a day of physical work) and I can really feel that my body can take it. I used to have a back, hip and shoulder pain but this is all gone now. I have gained so much flexibility, strength and cardio. Muay thai is special to me as I have never felt like this before. I simply can't imagine my life without it now and I would love to be trained by such a man "one day". Practising and getting hurt, learning from others and yourself, observing different techniques and try to get better by owning your body and then you "feel it without thinking" ooooh yeah you know what I'm talking about!!! This is a lifetime journey that I am willing to embrace. I am 27 years old and even though I wish I had started at a younger age, it is never too late to start. I have never been this happy before and to me this is what it's all about, I want to do things that make me happy and live my life to the fullest.

Master Roshi: "Always remember these words: Work hard! Study well! And eat and sleep plenty. That is the way! We must master the art of peace in addition to the art of war!" You’ve seen his punishing padwork with his students in the viral videos on social media. You’ve gawked at the bold display of 'sak yant' tattoos across his chest and back, and feel intimidated. As scary as he may look in the ring, Ajarn Gae is a dedicated Muay Thai trainer who cares about the improvement of the fighters under his charge. In this interview, you get to see a side of Ajarn Gae that you may not have seen before. He shares intimate stories of his life, and talks about the disappointment of his shattered childhood dreams that turned him into monkhood for 10 years. One thing that comes through is that Ajarn Gae absolutely LOVES Muay Thai. He loved fighting, he loves teaching it, he wants to make his students strong. When his students fight in the ring, he says, “my heart fight together.” Will you be his next Goku and Krillin?... ----------------------------------- This project is part of a documentary series started by Angie, a Muay Thai enthusiast based in Singapore. This is why I love muay thai out of all the martial arts. Every fight, every fighter, everything that is associated with muay thai has stories behind them. Muay thai is in every thais' blood and as a thai even though I dont fight I keep it close to my heart. They dont just fight for the fun of it. It's their passion, their career, their mean of survival and keeping the traditional alive. ❤

He remind me so much Sakad on one of your video. Amazed by his knowledge of the art, humility and passion. It seems to be very tough when sparring with him but you should learn a lot. Thx Lawrence to show us these.
