With a record of 120 wins and 7 losses, Dany Bill is one of the greatest strikers of all time.
He fought in the golden era of Muay Thai with the very best. Although his peer Ramon Dekkers is more famous than he is for his aggression and heart, Dany Bill is often seen as his counterpart with far greater technical ability.
Dany fought for the major stadium titles multiple times and it was decisive for the majority of viewers that he deserved to win the title.
This is his story. Stay tuned for more story features!

What I took away from Danny by learning from videos. Was sweeping the legs out as I can't kick high and his block the straight and turn them out. I learned this from his fight against Ramon Dekka. Ramon threw the right Danny cross cover parried with his right simultaneously reaching his left arm straight through hooking Ramons neck. Then as soon as the right landed Danny came over with his right pivot on his left foot. Swung his rear leg around momentarily moving Ramon into his right knee. It's a sweet move and can pull it rather easily. His cadence was spectacular he just knew when to throw. Picking shots from out of the air. His hips are so very flexible too.

training with him during 2002 and 2003, i became a better nakmuay. he's unbelievable. Sparring with him made you a lot better cause in order to survive (lol) you got to think during the sparring session but on your way to home, in your bed etc... "i gotta find something in order to not get beaten like before..." he taught me by destroying me and sometimes giving some "tricks"... after sparring with him and other french champs (like Biga, Saban, M'baye, Konaté...), you fear nobody.
@hataillon

@Daniel Isnicht lying? Did you know my thoughts then? With all the beating i got by sparring with the best and some of the best nakmuays in France then, why would I fear any fighter? I never said I'm invincible or kind of bs like that...

One of the few foreign fighters I enjoy watching for his style and grace. It's rare to see someone standing toe-to-toe with a veteran Thai fighter from Thailand, but it's so much more rare to find someone doing it with as much style, finesse, and beautiful technique as a Thai fighter from Thailand. Thanks, LK for putting up content about him before - always skimmed his matches in the past and never knew how great he truly was.

Dany Bill has forever been the GOAT Foreigner for me. Dekkers wasn't on this dudes level at all. Thing with Dany is he fought LIKE a Thai but had the build of the foreigners which was usually stronger and bigger in a sense. Bill was a phenom with reflexes and eyes such as Oley and Somrak - not as sharp as them imo, but close. A shame he never kept himself in shape - would have loved to see some exhibition fights when he got older like many of the older Thai's do.

Thank you so much for this documentary and great analysis. Danny Bill belongs to those french legendary nak muays I had the chance to watch on my TV screen when I was a child in the 90's. He's really respected by french connoissers. His techniques were above average and the way he fought was really smart. In France, we always mention his name with Mourad Sari, Stéphane Nikiema, Dida Diafat. He's a True Legend

That's some beautiful stuff there! I have the impression that they weren't "grinding" a Jocky Gym but rather "playing" which is why they're such good technicians. Unfortunately I only learned about him about 3 Years Ago, when Lawrence did his First Highlight of him, and I’m a Combat Sports Connoisseur (Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu) but I never saw or read anything about him, and even now their’s only a Small Amount of him on KZbin . But it seems that in highlighting the Great Ramon Dekkers over the years that he was a casualty of getting overlooked. But in studying Dany and reading up on him, he’s the More Complete and Better Fighter of the Two (Dekkers is still a All Time Great and a Beast tho). But Bill was simply on another level.

Thx for the channel. I have learned so much from Lawrence. The videos give me awareness, insight, and true value. These fighters unaware have become my teachers an idols. Bad things: 1-I can never find the music ( so I may work out to it) 2- cant find some of the 1st videos posted. Keep up the great work. I thank you for your good work. Please keep displaying untold stories and matches. Go Lawrence.

Love your work Lawrence!! Dany had that ability to be that split second ahead of his opponent!! It must be like how a fly feels when it sees that swatting hand approaching!! ;o)

That was honestly beautiful to watch. It was like video game move sets when you unlock level 10... Edit: It seems like he's moving on the half time of the pauses in Muay Thai. The timing is incredible and even more like a video game.
