I saw a project called ""Psyclone" yesterday on YT. It's a GMC Canyon, with an awd setup and custom front and year suspension and a stroker ls3 in it. They were making 3.6 second 0-60 pulls in it with a base tune. It's a pretty cool setup.

I want you to know LT that I follow several big name KZbinrs like Cleetus McFarland, JH Diesel, KSR, Vice Grip Garage and Steve Morris and I would like to say that I get just as happy to see one of your new videos up as I do when I see theirs. I found your KZbin when you had just mounted the turbo on The Ugly Truck and I've gone back and watched several old videos and haven't missed a new one yet since the day I found you and Ugly Truck. Your content is awesome and most of all you seem to be a relatable guy. Keep up the great work!

Considering your power goals for the truck, and the fuel tank layout, you may want to consider front and rear driveshaft loops. It's a fairly long driveshaft and the consequences of it breaking at either end are scary from a safety standpoint.

On the eastwood coating.... the open end of the tube goes in the can trigger button. The brass piece is the nozzle. It sprays in something of a ball pattern. Used the coating twice on different projects with no issues. If the original spray nozzle hadn't been damaged you probably would have had no issues.

Those 6 large tires and heavy axles you know Matt is going to run is going to need more torque, and a stroker is the best way to get that low end torque. You're still going to want to spin a 6.0 pretty fast to get that power, so make it a little bigger so it won't need to spin so fast. Show him what a stoked 6.0 can do vs that big ol 8.1!

I think the ramp truck needs an n/a big block. Simpler, less points of failure, tried and true torque, probably very similar gas mileage to the supercharged LS, just seems better all around for that application. Theres no space limitation in the truck, so why not.

Get some steel it. It's a weldable coating that works great for that exact purpose and you can steal coat over it with the spendy product you used.

Why do solid axles have flexible brake lines to connect the calipers? Why not hardline directly to the calipers since the calipers are bolted directly to the axle and move with the axle? Is it just to make it easier to service the brakes and move the caliper out of the way to change the rotors?
@LawrenceTolman3 ай бұрын
Because the calipers are mounted on a “floating” pin and have some side to side movement, so the flex lines must allow this movement

Hey, I know this doesn’t have anything to do with this awesome build but some years ago you were wiring up a DIC into your Silverado. I did the same with mine. I found one from a Denali. Anyways, I remember you saying you had some bulbs that were out on the buttons. Mine all went dark. I was wondering if you knew how to replace those bulbs. I can’t find anything on the net about it. Any guidance would be incredibly appreciated. Thanks.
