Very glad you enjoyed box No.1 Lawrie. More boxes on their way. To all the folks out there, I Modelled OO for about 8 years, before moving on to larger Scales such as 7.25 and 16mm. This is my way of making use of the accumulation of model railway stock that no longer has a home in my collection. Plenty of quirkinesses to come! Edward

I have that model of the Great Western 101, it's a beautiful slow and quiet runner when kept clean and lubricated. Personally, I think the performance capabilities on the older style of 0-4-0, with the open frame can motor, are better than Hornby's new 0-4-0's!

A suggestion as you are servicing your cars you should service your locomotives check the pickups from the wheels to the motors and you might get a better running. Those little engines are as delicate motors as in you fire engine or your digger. Keep up the good work and thank you for the entertainment. P.s. please run them as careful as you run your Ruston in real life.

A lot of triang stuff was built with wheels different to hornbys wheels not for locomotives but everything else you charge the wheels. You can find appropriate wheels on the Internet or/& good model shows/exhibitions, good model fairs and some model shops. Your pug loco that seems to be playing up may need a clean and you may need to open it up and remove fluff that can build up. Your pugs wheels may be dirty so a good clean will help the wheels pick up power from your track. The motors brushes maybe worn so you may need to replace them and you can get the brushes from the same places as the replacement wheels. A warning to you most model locomotives that are not small tanks will derail on short hornby points mainly because the points have to much of a curve for them. The way to stop your locomotives derailing on the points is to only run locos that don't derail on them or change your points to peco points but if you go for peco points don't go the short point in pecos settrack rang as they are near enough the same as the short hornby points. Go for the short pecos points in the Streamline range.
@lmm4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, triang stuff is a courser scale. I could change the wheels, but it's a lot of effort and cost! Loco will get a service soon enough!

EDIT: I enjoyed that start on the pug with the coaches btw: I call that "the passengers are now all against the back wall of the coach" start. before I finally got good engines, several of my older N scale steamers were prone to doing that. though, nowadays a lot of my engines do that at first because I don't get to run as much as I'd really like to. I have a layout slowly in the works but not much has happened to it since...good lord, april?

Sadly nine OF them last long tho cause the gears and axels crack over Times and there noise level is tao loud for a loco. I Dont think the bachmann branch Line series dont have them.
