The gorgeous Leysdown (Isle of Sheppey) layout made it worth watching, almost the same part of Kent I have based my layout on. Mine is an interpretation of Whitstable, just the other side of the water channel (The Swale) seperating the island from the rest of north Kent. 🙂

I've just watched the intro and consequently subscribed, gonged the bell and you shall be receiving a thumbs up on all videos henceforth. What sold me? The subject material of course but I place no little stock in the music that is presented with videos. The piece that was playing attracted me immediately and I thought "Right. If that's how their heads operate in the musical taste area then the rest (content and music) might well be worth the penny." So you're stuck with me. i believe if your a complete beginner, which i am , then we should try and visit as many of these exhibitions as we possibly can , these layouts will have taken a lot of time and experience, but beginners can certainly learn by simply looking and asking questions which ive found the more experienced are always happy to do ? ive just been to my first exhibition at macclesfield in the north west and really enjoyed it plus i picked up leaflets for other exhibitions in 2023 so if your a beginner like me get yourself out there and ask your questions this is how we all learn Paul

Eg southtown, all that rolling stock, but ghost trains devoid of passengers or crew, what a waste.

Depends on the sound, bad steam engine sounds ruin it far more than no steam Loco sounds. Works rather well with diesels though
