Very well done. Experience is the best teacher, & listen to the truly experienced fishermen/fisherwomen, because they will also teach the lost art of being respectful to others & the environment! Last line is great, remember, fishing is supposed to be fun. Thanks Lawson!

Great video to get what I hope might be a series of videos explaining precisely how to fish for different species and all the tons of tips, tricks, and techniques you use to get bit by your target species. Please keep videos like this coming, but out on the water. This way you can give a better demonstration of each lure type and fish type, etc. Thanks Lawson. Really enjoyed this video.

Great video, man. You go over the basics pretty well. Although, I'd say that the rod is more important than the reel. 30-40% on the reel 60-70% on the rod JMHO.
@sponchywan6455
@sponchywan6455 4 жыл бұрын
Gotta disagree with you man, the quality of the reel you use is so much more important because of smoothness, drag, line capacity and overall life span of the product
@liquidleblanc1920
@liquidleblanc1920 4 жыл бұрын
I agree with the rod being more important! Although I use Ci4s I’m much more concerned with what rod I’m using and how it performs.

If you had to pick a rod and reel setup for your favorite/majority of the fishing you do, what size rod/reel, lbs test lines and 2 or 3 baits/lures are you grabbing?? I’ve done plenty of fishing but maybe this would help someone get started or pointed in the right direction. Love the videos!

I've been using Penn Battle 2's for 3 years now and all I do is hose them off with freshwater EVERY TIME I get back. They work flawlessly! I once forgot to rinse a cheaper real my buddy had dropped into the saltwater, I was locked up 2 days later, and it was new. Salt is HIGHLY corrosive and Attracts moisture. Salt destroys EVERYTHING! Just hose them off.

When you dog jumped in I lost it, 😆 I've allways wondered if that would happen! So I used to spend more on my reels then my rods, but switching from bass fishing to inshore I've been spending more on my rods recently, reels like the penn fierce and battle have been holding up then I'll grab a st Croix rod. But you obviously fish 10x more then me so I guess time will tell with those reels around 100$. I haven't tried toadfish rods yet tho. There cheaper.
