Just to elaborate on power usage. It uses 1.8kilowatts per hour at 240 volts when on. When setting it to 37 degrees, it heats to 38 then turns off and then turn back on when it hits 36 and repeats. This means it is only actually only for a little over half the day at around 13 hours to maintain the temperature. My electricity price in Sweden means I pay about 1 USD a day They also say it can fit 5-7 people and I would say 5 is comfortable, which tells you how big it is. I am 193cm or 6ft 3 tall and I can sit in it comfortable with my legs fully stretched out.

@giftowercom 3 жыл бұрын
If it is on for 13 hours, that means at 1.8kw it uses 23.4 KWh a day. I dont know where you live, but here 1kwh costs around 0.17 usd so at this price, daily total would be rouglhy 4 USD.

Hi, nice review. Just to clarify. I also live in sweden, and I believe the correct price is around 3 dollar pr day with 1.8kwh for 13 hours. Or 22.8 kwh pr day, if you want to count in your local currency.

Hi I’m not going to be able to use my tub for a few weeks but don’t want to pack it away. I will maintain chemicals etc but I don’t want to keep it up to temperature. It’s just that I’m very confused ( doesn’t take much 🤓) what I need to do to activate the freeze shield!?!?!? Do I simply leave it on…as in only the green light on OR do I need to leave the filter pump …wavy lines…running too??? It’s SO expensive to run at the moment but I have promised my nephews and their partners that we can celebrate new year in the tub! After that, sadly running costs will mean it goes away after that. So I guess the simple ….simple for me is the operative word!!…question is green light or green light and wavy light on??? Thank you!

How noisy are the airjets on this model? I’ve had 2 different lazyspas with the new style pumps and they have both made loud unbearable high pitched noises when the jets are on, that loud that I returned them. still on the look out for a quieter version.
@squillium8127
@squillium8127 3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you are of luck with this one too as there is a high pitched noise, although for myself sound of the bubbles drowns it out. A bigger problem for me though is the spa temp drops quite fast while they are on. It uses the outside air for the bubbles which is below 0 degrees Celsius at the moment. I will only use them for 15 minutes and then just chill without.

@@squillium8127 temp dropping happens with all hot tubs. My first hot tub was a 8 seater all singing and dancing hard shell but the temp would drop when the bubbles were on. Unless the the outlet temp is dangerously high it will cool down a certain amount.

Hi! Great review! Im thinking of buying the Santorini 2022 but guess its similar to this one. Wonder - do I need to have it "on" all the time or can I turn it all off when its not in use? In summer it should keep the warmth better when the lid is on perhaps or not..? A bit scared to make the electricity bill go crazy with the prices right now ;)
@squillium8127

Hi! Thanks. That one looks great! I have had it on for 1.5 years now non stop but not with heat all the time. I at least have the water filter pump on to keep it clean. Left the filter on during the whole of December in Sweden when power prices were the worst and I was in Australia. Power bill wasn't bad at all. So I wouldn't worry about electricity if you plan to just use it on weekends. Filter uses 34 watts if you want to check the exact cost. I wish it had wifi control though like the cheaper models. I sometimes remember the heater is still on just as I get in bed and that is a mission to go turn in off!
@squillium8127
@squillium8127 2 жыл бұрын
I know the freeze shield turns the heat on when it hits 6 degrees and heats it back to 10, but it literally takes days to drop from 10 down to 6 and then takes about 3 to 4 hours to heat back to 10. Even in winter.

Hello! The whole terrace sunk down under the weight of it after 1.5 months. I had to drain the spa, lift the whole terrace back up and I put about 100 bricks under the terrace where the spa sits and since then it hasn't sunk down or anything. Definitely strengthen it! It is over 1.5 tons with some people in it and the spa itself. It is basically like parking a car on it.

2 questions. 1. When and/or if it snows hardcore like covering half way up the height of the spa, do you just dig out and clean around? 2. Is there anyway to disassemble it that wood and take everything apart and put it away for the winter?
@squillium8127
@squillium8127 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, 1. The spa lets out a little heat when it is on. So snow on the lid and like 10cm around it melts. So it isn't a matter of digging. 2. It isn't wood. It is fake wood, and is actually inflatable. So yes it is easily deflated and packed down for storage.
