I love your videos. I made two kydex and leather hybrid sheaths. I thought you would have glued one side first to make the holes and then glue the other side. Thanks for keeping it real 🔥🔥🔥

Luckily they don't. This is the only thing I use them for.

Marks can be rubbed out. There’s a leather tool just for that. Also a great tip,,,,,,never have long fingernails while working with leather.

I use tongue depresses in between the leather and clamp and they work great!

I’ve been doing this on kydex holsters for my local Police officers. I use a thinner leather so it forms to the curves better.

Just my 2 cents…I’ve bonded odd shapes like that before by vacuum bagging it after glue up with a food saver type vacuum bagger. Maybe even wet mold the leather and let dry before glue up. Looks great!

@@theriversexperience9383 you should be able to do that with scale to liner glue up also if you use a call plate with it. Perfectly even pressure on the whole surface and the squeeze out stays in the bag!

Sheath is looking good. I've never seen a utility knife quite like that one you're using, what brand/model is it?

It's actually one that you would use while vinyl wrapping vehicles. It comes to a very fine point. If you look up "vinyl wrapping knife" on amazon they have many options.
