That's how it's done. what an amazing painting! I started laynes classes July 10th of this year and I'm on my last painting number 5. In three months he has taught me his technique of this realism landscapes. The best move I made as a new artist. He is an incredible teacher. Thank you Layne.

Unusually beautiful painting. It has a beautiful presence and a magnificent flow to it.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Seeing the 'burnt earth' of your underpainting whilst you were perfecting the clouds turn into the brilliant birthing of greens growing gives hope. Your cat seems to be a good student - he attentively watches you paint. Put him on a canvas, give him some paint and a brush, lets see what he does. 🤣😻🖌

Absolutely beautiful work! I enjoy watching your videos. I used to oil paint years ago but then working got in the way to make a living for my family. I am now at that age I have time to get back into it. I was looking at your list of paints you recommend on Amazon. Do you have a list of basic paints needed for most paintings so that I can start back? Thank you!

Stunning! Sensei what kind of brush do you use to soften edges of the clouds? Tks 🎉

Its beautiful.... but i cant help thinking the sequence is the wrong way round. in part 1 we get to see the land painted while the sky is already done

GRAZIE
@LayneJohnsonStudio3 ай бұрын
Yes, I paint in layers, so each layer is dry when I paint the next layer. And that's typically the next day.
@gaetanoesposito6583 ай бұрын
@@LayneJohnsonStudio Grazie. Ma lei deve avere una magia tutta sua per far asciugare ogni strato in un paio di giorni. Nanche il Liquin può tanto ed evitare le settimane che ci vogliono per far asciugare ogni strato.

I paint in thin layers, so yes, with Liquin, it dries by the next day. 👍

Thank you! 🙏 Subtitles are a KZbin thing. Sorry.
@kaiserxion3 ай бұрын
I have a theory but I've only tested it with a friend. Not about painting. I know nothing of that. It's about retention of art on KZbin. I found a Thai wood sculpture and the first thing he shows is the finished product from every angle, different zooms, panning over the piece showing every detail, then I watched the whole video. Every time I watch an artist where they start from nothing or show one picture of the finished piece I tend to skip forward to see the finished piece then leave the video. I know, part of the video is the reveal at the end and it's harder for long projects that are split up into multiple videos with how long they take but as a simple not artistic consumer of art, I can say it's more pleasant to watch the former rather than the ladder. P. S. Vertical video especially when mixing it with landscape mode is a big no no.
