4CR offer and you still manage to survive the layoffs is a bigger flex in my opinion. that means you are creating enough value for your employer 😊. i have seen a lot of layoffs close to me and that mostly happened with folks who were drawing exorbitant salaries with not enough impact to justify their high price 😊

Hi bhaiya:) have a video suggestion for you. How about making a video in which you mention all the skills, talents, programming languages you know... listing out everything major or minor with the resources that you followed to acquire it and what resource you would today recommend.. know that would be a long video but it would give us better insights about your journey. Also, do mention the way you follow to acquire new knowledge. Thanks :)

layoffs can happen anytime. It can happen multiple times in the span of 6 months. My advice is to find another job immediately. If possible, have multiple job offers so when you get laid off, you can go back to those companies. After layoffs, when too many engineers in the system are looking for a job, you won't even get an interview call.

Hey bhaiya :) I am from a tier 2 college in bangalore. I was offered a decent CTC when I got placed back in 6th semester but now the company has revoked their offer after 9 months. Since it was the first company that came to our college, I got placed there and my college blocked me from attending any further placement opportunities. I could not find any relevant jobs off campus so I did not apply untill it made total sense for me to apply. But I enchanced my skillset but learning web3 technologies and getting an intermediate experience in blockchain development. But since I am a fresher, I don't see many web3 based companies hiring freshers, I am good at web development too but recession has hit hard and I am in a very sticky situation. I am confident in my skills but if anyone reads this message, what's your advice for me. I would really appreciate any kind of advice. Thank you

Very good advice with the supply and demand consideration. If you go the strategy of finding a high demand, difficult, niche subject matter and become an expert in it, it gives you more bargaining chips to negotiate a higher salary and job security for when the there is a downturn in the economy. I also recommend going into fields where you can get locked into year long (or more) contracts so that you can weather the recession (tech consulting is an example because it has a long implementation lifecycle). Often times, people are afraid of being pigeonholed into a certain software or niche knowledge base, but if the demand is there, it can often have the opposite effect - higher salaries and more job security because they can't easily replace you.

And for frameworks or libraries you don't have to learn those things from start to finish there are 100's of libraries and frameworks for different languages you just have to be aware which libraries and frameworks helps you solving which kind of tasks specifically .. keep a watch on 3rd party libraries and a native standard library made by the developers of that language for specific ..

I will advice you to read if your fundamentals or there is a gap in knowledge. Now coming to the point even you are reading documentation makes you a efficient programmer. Remember any new thing you learn it will take time read it , analyse it and think about every line that what was the purpose of this documentation .Ask how , define processes not procedures in ur learning . And also you can always refer to some other text, videos to help you go through it.

So if anyone thinks that AI is gonna help them become as competent as an experienced software developers in 1 year, good luck with endless debugging nightmares when you essentially forget to learn computer science basics and it's applications! P.S. Also to companies owners, if you think you can get away with cutting corners, wait till entire thing come crashing down in terms of scalability, infra costs, resource shortage and product failures because of shortcuts implemented resulting in more costs at the end!
