Dang, thats a sweet setup. Nice job! Edit: I've read many times that single track mains are operationally more interesting than double track. The opportunity for meets and keeping traffic moving efficiently is a whole challenge that adds a lot and keeps it interesting. Plus, you get to wire in working signals that have purpose. Anyway, youre the railroad CEO so your decision is the right one! 😅

8:10 Mark: Area beneath the shadow box, paint a light blue. Something like you did the shadow box / cove (11:00 Mark). And don't forget to add trees and vegetation.

The layout looks great. If you’re into doing dioramas to play, a lot of modelers build their entire layout in sections or separate dioramas and if you make them to a standard like HO modules, your entire layout could have interchangeable sections so you can change it to suit your mood.

Great Progress! Structure placement looks really good. Interested to see how you finish up the swing gate, and finally, Shadow Cove is excellent. The lighting suits the mood and works well with the backdrop. I might suggest running an abandoned rail line across the back and having it cross the cove on a really rusty old truss bridge. Just a thought.

Looks great. I think you can get block detectors that can control the arduino and your turnouts. Also something you can add is individual MP3 players with music to fit the scene. Just push a button and your hip hop will play at that location. You have so much potential with that layout

Are you going to use basswood? Im looking to build myself...i did a few of trucking warehouse flats came out pretty good not done yet..
