The scenery to the entrance to the tunnels looks amazing!! you have done a great job! Th eshots towards the end really show what agreat job you have done with the plataforms. And also the weathering on your trains is excellent.!! Thanks for sharing!

The trees are a mix of woodland scenics products. Smaller trees and canopys are made using F1661. The branches for individual trees are TR1123 and the leaves are a mix of F1131 and F1133.

Thanks Terry, this 47 is a little louder than the others, I'm putting it down to it being new and needing to bed in a little more. I'm going to try and put up some shelves up or something as it's becoming a bit of a mess up there.

Hi Richard, another great update, some really nice camera angles too. Love the NSE Class 47, I'm just waiting for a Class 50 in the same livery. Spooky too, I sold all of my old Hornby platforms but kept the canopies from years back in hope that I'd have another layout, which of course now I do. Trouble is I've now got the Skaledale platforms that are made out of resin which probably won't hold up to being drilled out. Always love your updates, very inspirational. Andy

I've always liked the BR liveries from that period and you can model a wide range of trains and locos whilst still being prototypical. I also wanted to do something different from my 1960s layout.

Hi there, zzpjl8(nick) here. Your layout and stock just get better and better...it is amazing what you are doing. I am going to have to get Haymarket, the pint job is superb...mind you, I can only bring myself to weather Heljan locos at this stage!! Your helix is fantastic, I have used a pure ramp and despite their weight, the locos are struggling. Keep up the great work regards from down under Nick

A few videos ago you said that the only issue of the signals was it changes to orange while a long train was still in sight, this could be prevented by resetting the red light when ever a carriage passes over the sensor. Love to see more videos in the future, keep up the good work.

If you run your coaches in permanent rakes, have you ever thought about fitting the flashing red tail light to the last coach? Small LED and maybe some 1.5mm fibre optic cable powered off the coach lighting would work.

Nice update mate, love the HST and that 47/7 is lovely! Can I suggest a light weathering?, as it would have been fairly 'new' to the NSE region, having just been sent down from Edinburgh around about the time your layout is set. Plus, you don't want to cover up that lovely NSE livery with too much muck! ;-)

You going to get some more NSE coaching stock to run a full rake of them behind your NSE liveried locos. You thought about the railfreight liveried ones with the different divisional squares on them I thought about it but there a bit expensive for me atm with my small layout. Your HST is that the one with the rubber on the wheels and the old ring motor in it or a modernised one

Its coming on great, like the new 47, its a pity the early ones (Early BR) have a few minor discrepencies in the detail ie... rivets around the windshields incorrect position of the fuel gauge and wrong bogie detail on the right sides... they corrected the bogie details but not anything else...and jury still out on the drivers cab door window height...

a very good update richard.i got that 47 at the weekend and also posted a video of it a few days ago.do you find yours to be a noisy runner as my one is compared to my other 47's. the overhaul on the station platforms have done you justice to mate as they now look more realistic. and for the corner of the layout where you keep all your stuff, why dont you get some 3mm mdf and curve it round the bend of the track and use it as a scenic board and use the space behind to store your bits and bobs.

Make sure you plan as much as possible. Build a strong baseboard that is 100% level. The track shoud be as smooth as possible, no tight curves or sudden changes in direction if you can avoid it. Have somewhere to store your trains. Use peco track.

hello everard...i would like to make a suggestion on you platform..i would use the joints where they come together as expansion joints & scribe in other lines parallel to your glued joints at scale feet apart. all concrete slabs that i have seen here in the US have expansion joints. i think it would comoflage the sections you have glues together... just my thoughts vinny...aka...bnsf6951
