Hello, I have a random question, I want to get something for scenery for my manta force toys, so it looks like they are on a lunar surface, do you know anywhere I could get something like this? Many thanks 👍🏻

Very impressive job, incredible as a first timer!!! Bought back alot of memories of the time my dad had a series of these as company cars. First was a Consul 2.5 estate, GL spec in an orangy bronze metallic. Seemed huge at the time, big enough to squeeze my Yamaha DT125 trail bike in on it's side to take it to the dealer when it wouldn't start one Saturday morning!!! Next was a funky metallic purple Granada 2.5 GL, used to take me hours to clean because of all the chrome!! Next and last was a Mk3 (?) Granada 2.8 GL in Jupiter Red metallic. That was an auto, I think the previous 2 were manual but I can't be sure. Generously my dad let me use all three, so I put some reasonable miles on all of them. My favourite was the purple Granada, that dropped some knickers in it's time!! The Consul was just huge, there was nothing like it at the time, some even thought it was American! My mum and dad towed their caravan to Italy several times in it and it just soaked it up without any complaint. Well done on your restoration, it is really impressive.

Congrats on getting yourself a loft of your own, and sorry life threw a change jobs within the mix as well. Hopefully the renovations and plans for the future will eliminate the stresses of the past to which we'll see the Junction rise once more. Wishing you well

It's interesting how things like signal boxes have faded into obscurity while other things like "Tory scum" graffiti remain just as relevant today. This is one of the finest layouts I have ever seen.

A great how to video 11 years ago and a few things have change technology wise with the wheels and circuits and LED's but it is still the basics. I've looked through your comments and no one has noticed that your diagram for the bridge rectifier is wrong.. I am very surprised that no one has noticed this....I was taught electronics when I was in school back in the 80's and this seemed wrong in my head and after I checked some of my technical books to find I was correct..... You have 2 of the diodes facing the wrong way.. the top right one and the bottom left one should be facing the other way. The point of the arrow shows the flow of the current and in your picture the top AC current input cannot pass as it is facing the stop part of the diodes and the bottom AC input can flow to both the positive and negative at the same time which is wrong.

Might be an idea to trim the ends of the tie bar to remove the 'nodules' on the ends for better realism.

Love the energy and the effort you have put into this layout.. I have a few questions.. 1. Do you work alone on this or does someone else share the passion? 2. Did you ever consider a more 'exotic' location to base the layout on? The coast, mountain topography! 3. Do you feel that going to N gauge you could have more 'km' of scaled layout for your available space? Thanks for providing a pleasure shared with your wonderful minature world...

Are you planning the same sort of city / countryside, just "extended"? If you extended the countryside, though it'll be in a loop it could be "imagined" to be in a straight line, you could have a village station a few scale miles away for local services to stop at.

Congratulations on finally getting the home you always wanted. I thought I would never see the end of Everard Junction - there is more life behind me than remains - but seems you have reached as far as you can with the layout.

Richard for the lights up against the back scene, if you painted the back with matt/satin black and then matt/satin white over this on the right hand (back scene side of the light) would this not mask out the night time light reflection from that back scene?

First, thank you for all the videos posted over the years. It has been a great journey! Your layout detail and time period immersion is incredible. Moving to a new house, and moving your layout on top of it, is no small task. You may not get to your new layout setup for quite a while, priorities will change (as it happened with me). In any case, thank you again for sharing it all with us! Best wishes to you!

One thing to consider when you create a new layout - if you include a canal like on the current one; how about “working” canal barges using the same method of magnetic rail as you have used for the cars on your road layout?

The Cologne V6s came in 2.3, 2.6 and 2.8 versions. (I’m not sure if the “Jackie Stewart” RS 3.1 Capri engine was from the Essex or Cologne block….)

Hi hello mate, I noticed when you were doing the class 47 you put a varnish over the top to seal everything but I don't think I saw you do this with the coaches and the wagons was that the case? Plus I saw a video where someone spread varnish on first so that the weathering had something to stick too again is that something you did or didn't do with the items in this video??. Are you supposed to varnish everything first and then again at the end after you've finished.? Many thanks.
