I guess, if there wasn’t the slur in there it probably wouldn’t be THAT bad. Most people are reasonably sensitive or concerned. Slur’s definitely cross a line so I get that for sure. But also…Shane Dawson has done some genuinely terrible shit like blackface, that’s also completely reasonable to call out. So it completely depends what you mean by your comment. Personally I expected the movie so be worse. There are some messed up parts, mainly the slur part. Even layze recognized that. I’d say he was mostly reasonable. Especially because a lot of the humor was immature and stupid. There’s a way to make sexual jokes and such but this really did feel like a thirteen year old boys movie, that’s why many feel it’s stupid lol. It also depends who there making fun of. Are they making fun of the person who makes fun of others or are they using that character as a tool to make fun of others? This movie isn’t really cancelable. Other then the slur part, it’s just a cringey mess really. Nobody cares enough when Shane’s done wayyy worse things. Sometimes people aren’t being overly sensitive, sometimes the jokes simply aren’t good or poorly written. You know? Sexual jokes, weight jokes, even jokes about some minorities can be done well or decently depending the taste of the joke and how they come across and how well written they are. This movie is simply just…poorly written. Personally I wouldn’t call the movie that offensive. I just thought it was kinda stupid, lol.

I get that it’s a horrible word, but you still hear it tons where I live and it doesn’t seem to get the same reaction as over there. On the flip side, I see people in American videos use the N word a lot. Sometimes it’s videos where a black person is using it or it’s Karen’s using it as an insult. Over here I never hear anyone say the N word and I would be so shocked to hear anyone use it and if I did it would make me react in the way anyone in America seems to over the R word. It’s interesting how different countries put emphasis on certain words being bad. Like the C word - it’s used all the time here and yet I very rarely hear it in American shows even when they use the F word a lot.

The hair looked awful - It really did look so.... Wiggy!! For the budget they would have had for this could have got a half decent one at least!! But maybe they were limited due to finding one that was able to hide the edges of the fat suit - He's not just wearing that wig because it's the "Shane hair" but because it's long and it will hide all of the edges of the "fat" suit and special effects makeup. His face wasn't terrible but it didn't look right... He looked old and like his face was kind of melting LOL! Fat or chubby faces look plump and often more youthful - The fat suit/this make up on Shane made him look old (like an old man trying to be a teen) and weirdly hollow too. They weren't seemingly able to hive him plump cheeks and they gave him so much chin that it looked like his face was dragging down...
