I have a hard time deciding whats better, the led seems like it stresses your eyes much more being that it puts down an intense spot on the floor, the wrc looks like a warmer, softer and less intense color and the visibility doesn't seem to be lost all that much with the wrc.

You answered your own question. It hurts your eyes. Hid and halogen work better. That said mixing technologies does work. I find keeping the kelvin range below 4k works best. I use halogen headlight bulbs and amber diode dynamics 18 inch light bar on my touge car. Its a very pleasant color of around 2800k. My roadster has 4000k hid headlightd and 3000k led fogs.

I find the brighter and whiter you go the darker the dark bits are, i much prefer a decent bank of halogens over everything else.

@@day2day2day30 Agreed, some of them might be modifiable so the emitters can be reflowed by those who have too much time on their hands. 3200k 95cri and high r9 value should help to reduce the scattering of the blue part of the spectrum in the eye while improving focusing ability of the eyes and distance vision.

The one on the left (led) looks like it needs adjusting to be a bit higher. I prefer the right (hid)

Almost everyone prefers the HID's on the right. A few people are saying that the LED's are hard on the eyes... what's actually bothering about the LED's is that it's narrow spectrum lighting. it's similar seeing the world in black and white and our eyes struggle with it because we want to see in full color. The video is a little misleading thought becaues the HID's are aimed down lower, the 3 hotspots in front of the car are clearly closer to the front of the car for the HID's. This gives the illusion that the LED's are better at lighting up farther ahead in the straight stretches. It's a fact that HID's illuminate downrange better and have more distance. Still, it's a nice video and a good watch.

Hey littlegoobie, it's a nice video for sure, and shows our technology from 2016. In the 2019 and 2020 World Rally Championships, two manufacturers have switched to LED, so don't just take our word for it... In the world of GT, WEC, Blancpain the switch to LED has been more rapid as drivers demand the distance and performance our latest LED solutions can deliver :)

Optic is better, but I prefer the old school.. 👍👍

I'd take the right lights any day over the others. The intense spot reflections from led back at the driver are too harsh on the eyes.

What’s the name of the right lights and where can you buy them??? They look so sick

Night driving on known roads is not the same as having a co-driver calling up the bends.

Can a normal hatchback dry battery pack support this kind of setup on a normal hatchback? (Let’s just say the public road law isn’t in the equation) and mount this kind of setup within the front car bumper, etc
@Lazerlamps2 жыл бұрын
You can indeed, If you go to our website and look at the Boomer single setup, you could use this for a road going vehicle. www.lazerlamps.com/boomer-single.html

Yes it's better, however it look shit compared to the original. LED lights in the original shape would be 100000x better for all rally fans

Brand of both lights?

Those LED lights have crap lenses. To focused. Yeah the camera makes it look a lot worse but if you had a diffuse lens on some of those lights ,it would be so much better.

You can't get an accurate depiction of either light setup due to the camera and how it operates. I'm sure either setup is like the sun is on your hood.

and the admin don't even delete this video after all the comments praising competitor. surely right one much better for driving.

Hey Dan, we appreciate all comments here at Lazer! The video was primarily aimed at showing the superior distance of our Competition lights (now obsolete) over HID. At the time, that system of ours was selected by top WRC drivers as preferred over HID. Since then though, we developed our Carbon-Series and we are now the lighting system of choice for two of the top WRC teams (plus the winning WEC and GT /Blancpain teams).

Lazer lights are Nice lights…just too damned expensive.
@Lazerlamps2 жыл бұрын
We apricate that the lamps are expensive, many of our customers see our lamps as an investment due to our technology inside the lamps, the quality of the lamps and 5 year warranty. You can buy cheaper lights but will they be as good?, last as long? or come with a 5 yea warranty?

what light bar is being used here?
@Lazerlamps9 жыл бұрын
+tommycati - It's the Lazer Triple-R Competition range (www.lazerlamps.com/home/triple-r/triple-r-competition-1000). This range was developed to give distance beating performance, for less weight and lower power consumption. Some more detail on this system is visible here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2ObmYucp5apmM0
