@ryans31995 жыл бұрын
I was able to order straight from the Lazer3d website, I think they have changed it so they can ship to the US, but it might still be through Overclockers. (Edit: I wasn't entirely correct on this, see highlighted reply.) Anyway. I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw this drop. It really is the perfect size for a day-to-day gaming rig, and even though L3D is on the pricey side, the quality and sturdiness is so worth it. I have a LZ5 and a Geeek A30 (selling both soon), and the difference is night and day. Geeek uses 2 mm acrylic and it feels like cheap china by comparison, as well as being not nearly as straightforward to assemble. The LZ7 I ordered in smoked clear sides and top with green corner pieces, I'm thinking of going with a "Matrix" code stream theme with some rgb strips inside.
@Lazer3d5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the positive comments, we appreciate the support. US customers can order either from OcUK or direct from us, difference is that OcUK have parts in stock ready to ship, whereas Lazer3D orders are made to order with a 2 week lead time but with a few extra customisation options.

Having just updated and rebuilt a computer in the Silverstone SG13, I can say with certainty this Lazer3D case is what the SG13 should have been. Just perfect optimizations in all the right places with wonderful component support.
@Tekeverything5 жыл бұрын
Agreed
@Artonox5 жыл бұрын
Thing is SG13 is 40 GBP, but the LZ7 XTD is 190GBP, which is nearly 5 times more than the SG13. This case is nice, but it just doesn't make financial sense, when you can use the difference to beef up the GPU, larger SSD or whatnot if you got the SG13. The LZ7 is only for the rich.
@annasoH3235 жыл бұрын
@@Artonox It's true it's expensive. However, component choice and cooling go hand in hand. I can see where some people consider the extra performance and compatibility an investment and a part of their budget. Also, I hope case builders like Lazer3d become mainstream enough to be able to bring their prices to a more accessible level. However, the people I encounter who buy these special production cases enjoy them, get good use out of them, and consider the value for money worth it.

I always like your videos and I actually bought the LZ7 because of your previous review; just bought the expansion kit for my LZ7, what I did not like is that the back panel is not included by default, instead they include a cover for the PSU hole with a hole for the power connector. It would have been nice that the cover has holes to allow air flow. I have no money right now and I want to do some outrageous upgrades to my pc, so the rest of the parts will have to wait, probably will wait after the ps5 is out to see if AMD/NVIDIA do something to counter it, most likely I will start purchasing parts that do not get outdated as fast little by little such as the PSU, sata SSDs, RAM etc. My idea is to get a Ryzen 3700x or 3800x, 2080ti, 32-64gb ram, 8tb SSD (2 x 2 tb sata, 2 x 2 tb nvme), the biggest cooler I can fit in and probably a 600 w PSU. If at the time I decide to update there's a 3080ti or ryzen 4700x I will get those instead. Coool!

Excellent review of what I'm sure is a great case! I have the LZ7 and if this XTD option had been available, I *might* have gone with it. It certainly would have saved me money--even though this case is a bit more than the original, being able to use a "regular" sized GPU would have saved me quite a bit. Possibly being able to use the stock cooler that came with my 3700x would have saved a bit more as well. Even so, I am not going to be getting one of these--not because I don't like the look or the build quality but only because I'm good to go with my current LZ7 and the parts I have in it. That said, I will unhesitatingly recommended either of these cases to anyone looking for a good SFF case. Despite the small size and that this was the first pc I've built, this was relatively easy. My only difficulty was stuffing all the stock cables inside it. They look terrible but my rig runs just around 60c when I'm pushing it as hard as I ever will and I did order a set of custom cables--based on your review of PSlate Custom, thank you!--so once those get here, my build will be done. And will look great! Thanks again, sir, for your reviews.

Quick question. Do you think there's enough room to fit a proper 3.5 hdd in there? It looks as if there's almost enough room between the front panel and the psu (provided you do away with the hdd/ssd mounting piece). Or could you even use the old back panel with the psu attached and mount the hdd in the front (like a Silverstone sg13). I'm wondering because Im currently using a 3tb in my.lz7 but would like to upgrade to a very large hdd.
