I bought one of the last Rosewill Line-M cases before they seemingly discontinued it, and I'm really happy with it. It's a Micro ATX case that wouldn't look too out of place in any decade, has two 5.25" drive bays and one 3.5" drive bay external, and the only light on it is the front case fan that you can replace.

Oh and hey, as a fellow new Ryzen owner - one of the things I found most amazing about having *so many cores* was that, I can actually do other things while rendering now. Even if all the cores are in use, I guess there's enough leeway among all of them that you don't even notice it while browsing, watching videos, or even playing some less demanding games, *while* rendering a video or in Blender or whatever... It's nuts. My old 4c/8t system was slower, sure, but it also literally was completely unresponsive when doing anything like rendering. I had to just get on my phone and wait because I couldn't even watch YT at the same time. On my new system, I sometimes literally forget I'm rendering something using 24 cores in the background. It's stupid nice.

This is why people who claim more cores isnt useful over raw single threaded, 100% of the time, bothers me. Having even a 6c12t over a 4c4t blew my mind. IPC being nice also. Hopefully one day Intel can throw 10 or 7nm at the newer design philosophies

You can adjust the process priorities. Even with a single core processor you should be able to watch KZbin
@Mythricia1988
@Mythricia1988 4 жыл бұрын
@@paco3523 Of course setting process priority to low did help, but that's not really what we're talking about. The difference was is still massive, because priority or not there's still a lot of stalls from context switching. With more threads, you don't have to change the priority in the first place - and both the main task and the background tasks run at full speed and responsiveness, something that is certainly not true for lower thread count CPU's, because, well, the resources simply aren't there.
